Pa's Tree Service

They did an excellent job and they cleaned up very well. They are very conscientious and I would highly recommend them.

I need to have a huge Blue Spruce and an equally large Cedar tree cut down. I also had them trim my Birch tree along with some arborvitaes. The crew arrived on time in the morning and worked all day. They were all polite, friendly and very professional. They got right to work and were finished by the end of the day. I had to leave before they were done to go feed my horse. When I returned home my yard was neat and tidy, everything was picked up and or put back where it should be.I wanted to keep the logs for firewood so they cut them into 16 inch pieces for me. I will definitley use them again.

I've been using them for 6 years. The price depends on what they have to do. I think its $275 an hour for a three man crew. These guys are clearly an A. I wouldn't have had them come out 6 times if I didn't like them. I wouldn't keep using them if I wasn't happy with them. I'll be seeing them next spring.

They were nice, prompt, cleaned up fairly well, however they completely failed to get two very large branches,i.e. long and large in diameter, that were completely dead.  These branches hang over my walk way and are a real eyesore...ugly!  I called and left a message telling them that it would take them about 20 minutes to remove those branches that they should've gotten when they did the job and I never heard from them again.  In my opinion, it is and was completely obvious even to a layman like myself that those branches were completely DEAD.  I feel that it is very poor service to not only fail to remove those dead branches in the first place, but also to fail to follow up with a very brief courteous visit to correct the problem.  Now I will have to hire someone else to finish the job.  I will NEVER use their services again, simply because they didn't have the decency to follow up after my phone call and correct something they missed.  Reasonable price, shoddy work.

Their estimator showed up on time was very presentable, and knew his stuff. As advertised, he met another companies quote. I called later to accept the bid, and was promptly given an appointment. They didn't require me to be present while doing the job so I saw the results upon arriving home from work. The trees were gone in the front yard, and the trees in back were trimmed exactly as we discussed. I was amazed at the clean-up. You wouldn't even know they were there. Nothing was disturbed, and there wasn't a twig left of the trees anywhere. They cleaned up the driveway,and the street in front of my house, and it looked wonderful. The only thing was they had to defer grinding the stumps for a while due to an equiptment problem. Overall, look no furthur, these guys are the best!

 Pruned my large trees and did a great job, including the cleanup.  Made very helpful suggestions which I had not thought of....unlike the first company to bid.

I talked about it above.  I only hired them because it was an old tree company that I had used under the former owner.
  The people who work for Joe  at this time did not speak English or did the really understand what to do. .The owner finaly turned up on site but by this time i was agry and told them to leave.

| |Jose arrived later looked at the task and said that there was enough room for the grinder to get to the stump and they could they could do the job. |I got a call later to schedule the Estimator's visit to the site for between 2 & 4 on wednesday, Apr 25. | |25 Wed- Estimator was here on schedule. He spoke English and we discussed the project in detail and estimated the cost at $140 plus tax and gave me a written copy with instructions to "call his boss to accept the cost and schedule the work'.  I did that and the work was scheduled for tuesday, Apr 30. | |30 Tue-  Jose arrived on the site in the morning with the stump grinder, but without a chainsaw to cut down the tree.  He said that there had a mistake and he had confused my job with a job for another "Bob".  H said that her would return later with the grinder and a chainsaw.  I assumed that he meant later in the day, but I was wrong. |May 1 Wed- An employee of PA's arrived at the site at 7:40am with the grinder and the chainsaw and completed the job 8:35am. |He did an excellent job and I gave him a check. |The overall Average rating was based on the apparent lack of  communication within the contractor's staff and with me. |I do not have any more jobs of this type for the future.  If I did I would rely on the ads in the 'Service Directory' section of the local paper, and have a thorough interview before hiring a contractor.  I put too much faith in Angie on this job. |

I had a twenty-five foot tree that had been planted too close to the property line by the original developers of the subdivision I live in about twelve years ago.  It had root rot when I purchased the property and, over the past year, the trunk had bulged so much that it had started to make the wooden fence buckle and lean.  After a big snow storm and a week of relentless rain, the tree finally split and was about to come down on my neighbor's property, worrying her tremendously.  I had received quotes from two other companies that were about 30% less than what Pa's had quoted, but what sold me on Pa's was that they could come out the same day for service. The other two firms were booked solid for the next 2-3 weeks and the issue had to be taken care of ASAP. 
After getting the initial quote, they were onsite within two hours climbing the tree with ropes and all but the foot tall stump taken down within 45 minutes.  They cleaned up all of the branches as well. I did give lower marks on professionalism as they never told me when they had completed the job--they just left. If I ever needed emergency service again, though, I wouldn't hesitate to hire Pa's as they were very fast and efficient.  They also had no problem with accepting credit cards over the phone.

They are very professional, do a great job, clean up after themselves, and are always prompt. Their prices may be a little higher than other services but this is a true case of getting what you pay for. They are the best around.

It was a big job and the workers took care of everything efficiently and were finished with everything in one day.  We especially appreciated the thorough stump grinding.

They came out right away and give me an estimate. They would have come back out that afternoon but one of their workers got hit on the head with a tree, so they came the next day. They did the work very quickly and very efficiently. All of the trees from the neighbor's house had come all of the way over and were shedding their leaves in my gutters and my pond. They cut them off and did a great job. They came out and were very responsive and did a good job. It wasn't nearly as complicated as I expected it to be. I thought they would have to come in and take trees out and he said, oh no, you have the perfect right to cut those off at the fence line. He went all of the way down the fence line in the front and the back and trimmed all of it off. It was very nice.

They came out the same day I called to do the estimate and were set up to come 3 days later to do the pruning.  As it turned out the crew had significant problems with some of the equipment and were not able to come that day.  They came the next day and did a beautiful job.

Although they were late, when the crew did show up they worked quickly and efficiently.  They were all very pleasant and polite.  The clean up was amazing.  They did all this work in about 2 hours.  The only down thing was that when they were cutting back the Cyprus one of the limbs fell on one of my honeysuckle bushes, breaking the center branches.  However, they had very little work space and it was unavoidable.  Overall we were very pleased with their work and would definitely use them in the future.
