I took the chairs in one by one. I am always surprised that the estimate is just $80. They don't pull any old records, or ask me how much they charged last time -- they just know their stuff enough to give consistant estimates.
These are nice people, these are artists and craftsmen. The work takes longer than most other craftmen of today's type. But these guys are not pulling replacement pieces out of a bin and sticking them on -- each job they do is a 'one of' -- they make the peice that gets invisibly placed on your piece and return it to you and quot;as good as oldand quot;.
I am a fan --- I can't tell you the number of people I have sent over there -- good people --- good skills.

Old Friends did a fantastic job refinishing our table top. Unfortunately a concrete liquid mixture ended up on our table top. We were very worried that our beautiful dinning room table was ruined forever. After a lot of research we decided to contact Old Friends. We drove to their store and showed them one of the damaged leafs. They assured us that they could restore it. We are extremely happy with the results. We would highly recommend Old Friends. They are very professional, customer oriented, and have very fair prices.

They stripped at least 2 coats of paint down to the natural wood and refinished the item with natural stain. They warned us up front that it would take 6 to 8 weeks, which was not a problem. They removed chipped paint and amateur antiquing, rejuvenated the hardware and did an absolutely beautiful job of refinishing the item. I would feel comfortable taking one of our precious antiques to them - and probably will.

Old Friends were able to fix the chair on time and the chair has withstood a lot of use for six months and has held up beautifully. The staff at Old Friends were very professional and courteous during all of my interactions with them.

It wa a great experience. They have great customer service.

The quality of the work is excellent. Obviously work of this type can't be rushed, so depending on the amount of restoration and their work load it may take several weeks for a job to be completed. The price for their work was reasonable.

We have had Old Friends repair and refinish several pieces of funiture. I am amazed each time we get one back. We had a mahogany desk with shelves and glass doors above that was in such bad shape that I could not give it away. It had been damaged extensively from shipping and was considered a complete loss by many. Old Friends did such a great job on repairing and refinishing it that you can not even tell that it was ever broken. It sits in our entry way where we get many compliments on it. We have recommened Old Friends to many of our friends and family, all of which have been completely amazed and happy at their work.

Good job on repair but they were a week late in returning chair. They did not contact me when the repair was not completed on time

THE OWNER RETURNED MY CALL PROMPTLY AND CAME OVER THE NEXT DAY AT THE DESIGNATED TIME TO LOAD THE FURNITURE IN HIS TRUCK. HE GAVE US A CHOICE OF FINISHES AND RETURNED THE PIECES ON TIME.

THE ROCKER WAS RETURNED IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. ITS APPEARANCE WAS FANTASTIC. IT IS 100% STURDY AND LOOKS LIKE A MILLION BUCKS. THE WORK PERFORMED HAS DOUBLED THE CHAIRS VALUE.
