Miller Tile Roofing

Harlan has been very busy this year. He came out on a Sunday to do an estimate for us. We live in Longview, WA an there are very few tile roofs here. No local providers. Initially had a thorough cleaning of roof. Work was delayed by rain. But quality of work was outstanding. Antiponding had not been installed by original owners. As a result we had to replace all the fascia when we replaced gutters. He came back & installed the antiponding after gutters were installed. We sold home and he made extra effort to get us into his schedule before house closing for the final install/repair. He work was so good and prices so reasonable, that I probably would not go through bid process if I needed tile roof work in future.

I was having new gutters installed on my tile roof and new county codes require anti-ponding material to be installed with them.  I contacted Miller Tile Roofing to get an estimate to do the anti-ponding and to do some general maintenance and repairs on the roof.  Garlen Miller came out to my home the following day to do the estimate.  He seemed knowledgeable about all aspects of the job and I hired him to do the work.  The scheduling was a bit difficult as he was very busy and I was trying to coordinate his time with the gutter installer and another contractor who was doing some repair work on the facia board; but once everything was lined up it went very smoothly.  Garlen showed up a few days before the start of the project to get the necessary measurements and review the work that needed to be done.  He and his assistant arrived early in the morning the day the job was scheduled to begin and got right to work.  They worked hard to get the project completed on schedule and kept the mess at a minimum in the process.  I am very pleased with the results and would certainly hire him again..

We have used him several times before and decided to have our tile roof treated for moss before it got too bad. As usual, he was prompt and efficent.

We bought a house with a 34 year old tile roof. Garlan Miller knew far, far more about this type of Roof (tile) and our area. He was around when these houses were being built. He was the only roofer who presented a way for us to keep the roof going. I appreciated his generous and advised knowledge.

It went great! The workers were at our house for two days in a row pressure washing our roof as well as doing some repairs. After they pressure washed the roof, the ground was littered with debris, but i was happily surprised that they cleaned up all the dirt and moss before they left the second day. Our price was exactly as quoted and we've been very happy in the last year. We will definitely go to Miller Tile first the next time we want our roof cleaned or should any further work be necessary.

They do tile roof cleaning, sealing, and repair. It is very hard to find someone who will work with tile roofs. They come out every year for me.

We have a tile roof that needed a minor repair and a short time frame to fix it due to it being related to a house sale. Garlan responded promptly with a very reasonable bid for the roof via email. When I said "yes please let's proceed" - I didn't hear back for a day or two, but I had told him that I work from home and was flexible about the timing. Then this morning he send an email and said he could be here today and voila the repair was made very quickly and professionally! We are so pleased to have had the repair made quite quickly by a competent professional and for a very reasonable price.

I called Miller Tile Roofing in May. Mr. Miller schedule to come and offer a written quote a week later. His schedule was full for a about three weeks. After that time, he scheduled our roof cleaning that took two full days. The roof looks as good as it did 14 years ago when we built our home.

Called him when I never could get a written estimate from other roofing company who had failed to fix the leak last Spring. His estimate was lower than the oral estimate I had gotten from the other company. He was prompt, efficient and appears to have done excellent work (will know for sure when rainy season starts). He is very knowledgable, and I plan to use him from here on out.

No problems encountered and job was completed to my satisfaction.

When Garlan Miller gave us the estimate (in April) he said the job would probably be done the first week in june. He called the end of May and said he would be here June 3rd. He arrived on the dot and did the work (1.5 days). The only extra charge (which I had agreed to) was for cemenet to reattach the loose tiles. The job went very well (we have a big, high roof) and was satisfactory in all respects. Cleanup was thorough and complete.

Water was running down behind the facia in two main area in my tile roof. Clogged valleys and when it rained the valley would overflow allowing water under the tile and ended up rotting felt underlayment then flowing behind the gutter instead of into it. They gave me a quote to rework those areas and add flashing where necessary plus to go ahead and pressure wash the roof (it needed it). They ended up spending about two days on the job. The first day was pressure washing and the second day was the facia replacment and valley work. He replaced tile where necessary came back on a Saturday to finish up. Very nice job, exactly what I asked for - if you have a tile roof, get a person who does tile roofs! Like shake roofs, these are special animals.

Mr. Miller was on time every time he came and knew exactly what he was doing. We are very happy with his service and will use Miller Tile Roofing for any future work. We would highly recommend Miller Tile Roofing to anyone.

It is now June 2010 and no leak, and we have had much rain, so good job!!

Roof repairs were completed as requested at a reasonable cost.
