Description of Work: We got an estimate on a master bathroom remodel job.

Description of Work: Requested bid to remove 2 existing master bathroom windows, enclose one window and install new frame work for new window to be installed. Work also consisted of removing and re-installing existing siding, install new drywall and tape and texture for painting. Owner would provide all materials and building permit and would paint interior and exterior walls.

Description of Work: Metro construction first replaced a window ledge and caulking to address the source of a suspected leak. When that it did not work, they tarped and with a break in weather (several months later), replaced the siding to permanently fix the problem.

Description of Work: We had an addition done about 13 years ago. There was a small dip in the floor leading into the new kitchen. Over time, the dip extended the whole length of the addition. Then in the past 2 years, the ceiling cracked and started to seperate. I kept saying "the addition is going to fall off the house." I just didn't feel comfortable with it. Made calls to other contractors and it seemed to be a project no one wanted to handle. I called Metro and finally got someone willing to look at it. I remember asking Justin if he was going to go under the house and in the attic. He came prepared and they did just that. The floor was attached poorly and the ceiling-well after looking at the plans of the original conctract (which we commissioned on our own) there was a real important part missing. That was the structural beam !!! Pretty important and yes one or the other was due to fail. Thank God for these guys-we are so grateful. They added the upper structural beam, did work to shore up the floor--we are talking about 14 feet. They did the drywall, redid the floor in the bathroom and got rid of the lumps and dips and we added the ceiling texture and painting on the whole addition plus the family room. They put up with us still living here as all the drywall, tape & tecture is usually done with the homeowners gone. They did a fantastic job and now I FINALLY feel SAFE. The crew was wonderful and we would highly recommend them. It's so much harder to come in and fix someone else's mistakes, but they did it.

Description of Work: We had water leaking around a window that was never properly installed. Flashing above window was missing. No trim around window so a 3" border was cut from Hardy plank surrounding the window. Tyvek was taped down (also missing), Flashing installed and windows trimmed out with matching wood on the rest of the house, sealed and caulked.

Description of Work: Metro was recommended to me to replace four exterior window sills on my house. They had to work around the fall rain so it took a while. But they did a good job. The lath and plaster pulled away around one window but the drywall repair and paint match looked great. They also painted the outside sills.

Description of Work: We had our old gas fireplace and tile removed, with the opening lowered to the floor. Had a new fireplace delivered and installed. Then had bookshelves built- in on both sides, including a new mantel, and the television mounted above the fireplace. Had a shallow recessed opening set in the wall behind the t.v. so the wires would be hidden and the t.v. would look flush on the wall. Had new tile installed around the fireplace and on the floor as a hearth. Installed new can lights to accent the cabinets, had a new ceiling fan installed, and the carpet replaced.
