Bid estimate was considerably higher than other bids received for same work.

We had a leak from one of our windows to the ceiling. However, a previous attempt had been unsuccessful. Alan Laffley's team did a good job to address it quickly by replacing the soggy window sill that was suspected to cause the problem. Unfortunately, the leak was back and he was prompt in tarping it till the Portland weather improved long enough to do a long term fix. We decided to address this properly by completely replacing the siding and also ensure that there were no other water damage issue. All along the process, Alan and his team were very responsive and had my interest and concerns in mind.

Christmas day we were dealing with water dripping from the top of a bathroom window onto the wood window sill below. I contacted Metro after getting their name from a window company. Alan, their estimator, called me within an hour, came out the next day and had a crew here the following day. Everyone I dealt with was professional, courteous and the work was thoroughly done. When Cody discovered addition damage on another window Alan was back out quickly to estimate the additional cost of work. Job totally completed by 2 PM that day. Fully guaranteed. I will call them again when we deal with any kind of damage or repairs. Extremely satisfied and I'm a picky customer.

Overall things went fine. The house was empty so having to work around the weather wasn't a problem. Cory told me he would try not to paint the external sills when rain was due because the paint tends to run. Unfortunately, the weather prediction was not helpful and the last two sills did run onto the aluminum siding. Cory was very apologetic and did his best to remedy the situation. There are unfortunately some discolored areas left on the siding, particularly under one window. We are still working to make it better but I was especially impressed with Justin and Cory's work to remedy a bad situation.

We had a large family room with a gas fireplace surrounded by granite tile. Never liked the look of the tile, and had a difficult time arranging furniture to either face the television or the fireplace. Decided to lower the fireplace to the floor so we could mount the television above it. The finished product is exactly what we wanted. Metro's cabinet maker was easy to work with and does beautiful work at a fair price. This is the third time we have used Metro Construction and we have been pleased each time.
