Chad answered my call while he was out with his family for the holiday and I briefly explained my needs.  My husband & I wanted to put our house on the market and all of the real estate brokers came up with wildly different values, which I was sure were very wrong.  Chad was very proactive in following up with me even before I hired him.  He returned my calls very promptly and walked me through his website to order the appraisal.  I received a nice discount from his usual fee because I mentioned Angie's list.    When the time for Chad to do my appraisal, he was very through.  He took lots of pictures, notes & measurements.  He worked quickly to gather all these data and let me know the timeline that I could expect back the finished project.  He was right on time and produced an excellent, supportive data document that I could rely on.  The final valuation was very near what I had originally felt was a good price for my home.  When I did my FSBO, the appraisal was key in obtaining the highest dollar amount for my property.  It sold in one day!  Thank you Chad.  You are a true professional in your field and can be relied upon to render an unbiased and fair evaluation of a properties value.  I would recommend that every seller seek such professional service before relying on an unqualified Realtor to place a value on your house.

Chad was very hard to get a hold of after he did the initial home visit.  I would have to email him twice to get a response from him.  I understand that this is his busy time of year, and he did share with me that he had a family emergency that he was dealing with, but it was frustrating not to have a response.  I was promised the appraisal on a Wednesday.  Then it was Friday.  Then it was Monday.  Finally, on Tuesday I get the report, but by now our 10 day window had passed (we were buying a piece of property and we had 10 days to get the inspections complete, etc.) so the report was really a moot point.  He did call on Friday and gave me a verbal estimate, but he was still working on the report at that point so his verbal estimate was just that, an estimate.  When I emailed him on Tuesday and requested a refund because we were past our deadline and the report was now worthless to me, he replied back to me with an extremely unprofessional and belligerent email, getting all legal on me.  It would have been a nice professional gesture on his part to at least recognize my frustration and offer me a discount.  He took no blame for the situation.  I will not be using him again, nor would I recommend him to my friends/neighbors.

It was fine.  I like that they could come out right away.

Survey as in measure the dimensions of the structure, inspected various parts and asked questions of my knowledge of the house and the constituent parts that I was aware of said domicile. Provided a PDF of my home in relation to other nearby houses of similar year of building and square footage. I have no prior experience in judging whether he did a better or worse job, appeared professional in demeanor and manor at which he did his tasks.

Chad was very professional and scheduled our appraisal within a week of our request.
He was informative and answered all our questions and concerns.
I would definitely recommend him to all my friends and acquaintances.

It was a difficult property to appraise.  Other appraisers showed no knowledge of the  neighborhood.  He did.

I ordered the appraisal on the web site.  The response was within 24 hours, and the appraisal was scheduled within less than a week.  The appraiser was thorough, gave me a detailed report, and also went over the appraisal with my real estate agent.  I was completely satisfied with the work.

Positives: (1) Chad responded to my request in less than 24 hrs, (2) Price was reasonable, and (3) Delivered a thorough report. Needs improvement: (1) Punctuality (showed up 30 mins late, although he called and apologized), (2) There were (server?) issues with emailing report directly from his website. After contacting him, was able to access my report online, but never got it in my email.

We are thrilled with the quality of the appraisal Chad did on our home.   I was really happy that he offered to do the hypothetical appraisal, since I'm not sure how "standard" that is and it was super helpful to us in our decision to finish the basement.  Chad was extremely reasonable on the pricing, giving us a good rate (especially considering that he did wo appraisals).  He was very polite, professional, and pleasant to work with at all times.  There was a slight delay compared to the date he estimated he would have the appraisal report ready (just a day or two), but it was perfectly understandable because it was during busy season.  The quality of the report was fantastic--lots of pictures and data, easy to understand, and very thorough.  I would highly recommend Chad's services!
