"I apologize because somewhere this has been some HUGE misunderstandings. 1) The only calls that we have received from you were regarding your son-n-law working for us. We, unfortunately had to find an employee elsewhere do to the work that he was putting out. Other than the conversations regarding that, I have not had contact about the roof, except for right after and regarding that, we come to #2) Jim gave no lame excuse but explained to you that you had specifically asked for nails and not staples on ANY part of the roof. Yes, we did explain that we could make it different, but you would have to pay for the time and materials to either do it over or cover the underneath of the eaves. You did not tell me that was something you wanted to do. We said that we could cut the ends of the nails off, BUT would have to pull the warranty on that part of the roof. I do not remember a conversation coming from you regarding a choice you have made. Like I said, there may be a HUGE misunderstanding here and I hope that we can honor our warranty of there is ever a problem with the quality of work that we did out there. The eaves being done will have additional costs, but I am sure we can come to an agreement. I apologize if you have called regarding the roof and we have failed to realize that, but Jimmy only thought the calls regarded the young man's employment. Like I explained in our original comment back to you, we enjoyed working with you. As for the cigarette butts, your son-n-law did also work with us on this project of yours, he does smoke, as well. We have very strict guidelines about the guys waste on the job site and have a hard time thinking that this could have been them, but it will be addressed again. I hope that we can come to an agreement on this project and know that we have honored every warranty that has been given, so you have no worries there.
