Handyman Sam LLC

I think Sam is a nice and sociable guy, but I definitely think his communication could improve a little bit. When I called him initially, we worked out a day and he gave me a timeframe of an entire day (roughly 8 AM - 6 PM), though he told me he'd give me me a heads-up before he arrived. He arrived that morning around 8:30 AM and did not give me a heads-up. When I was surprised to find him at the door, he responded in a bit of a sarcastic way, which was a bit off-putting and unprofessional. Regardless, I led him and his fellow co-workers to the affected areas and they fixed everything quickly and efficiently and cleaned up nicely. However, I noticed later on that my toilet was still running, which was the main reason I called him in the first place. Upon investigating for myself, I noticed the flapper was old and rusty; you could tell just by touching it. I would have thought that Sam would identify it and then either offer to replace it or at least to notify me. He did neither, and I ultimately wound up replacing it myself. For $200, I feel like he could have said something about it. Not sure I'd recommend him or utilize his services again.

The work was done much more quickly than I had expected (3-4 hours) and appears to have been effective. No more water. I would definitely use Sam again if I encountered anything I couldn't handle myself.

Left a big mess, fans were noisy and needed shimming to fit properly, ceiling into attic exhaust tubes leaked and were not fitted to code.  Required another contractor to repair the improper ducting.  Fitted used roof vents not designed to exhaust wet steam.  Implied any complaints would raise the bill.  Agreed to at least reimburse owner for cost of repairs to his original work.  He is not unpleasant, but would need to be very careful in obtaining binding estimates and an exact receipt for services completed.  Inspect all work before paying fees.  May require an independent review of work before agreeing to pay bill.

Everything went well.  It took approx. 3.5 hours from start to finish for Sam and his helper to complete the work.

I have used Handyman Sam's services approximately 4 times in the last three years. The first couple of times I was pretty pleased, but
recently he has been somewhat arrogant and rude, and a little sloppy.
He did an excellent job on the siding and lights for my RV port and the roof over the dog runs.
I had to call him back to finish the paint touch-up when he didn't do one place I had explicitly requested, and on the doggie door he left a mess on the floor of my dog's run from the sealant that I have not been able to clean up. To his credit, he did come back and touch up the paint he missed without charging me extra. I didn't bother to call him about the mess around the dog door, because I was so upset by his rudeness. It isn't the work so much as his attitude.
I don't know why his attitude has become so arrogant, but I am sure there are other handymen available that will not insult me.
I have always been pleasant and have paid my bills immediately, but I will not use his services again.

They are very efficient and are very fast. They do their job as it should be done. They do it on budget and I've never had them go over the budget on me. I would recommend them to anybody. Their material and price is excellent. I would use them again in the future.

Excellent work! You cannot tell exactly were the dog door was. He matched the wall texture and the exterior siding and paint. Quality work...I have no complaints!

Bathroom remodel was our latest large project. He had a lot to do, from tearing out the ceiling to expose a tounge in groove knotty pine ceiling and putting in a skylight, to taking out and installing a new tub and tile work. He did a wonderful job on the tile which was surrounding the tub and on the counters. I always want things done faster, but he was very meticulous with the tile and I loved the rusult.

We already had hard wood floor in the bathroom. I was impressed how careful he was with those and there was no damage. He also carefully hangs up plastic to keep the mess out of other rooms. When he leaves, things are spotless.

His work is always excellent.

It went really well. I don't remember how much we spent. We would use him again in the future.

He is a good general handyman. He's reasonable in price.

It went well. He was very careful. We have pets that can't get out, he made sure they didn't. He finished the job in a day as he said he would. I'm happy with the finish he put on but he wants to come back and make some modifications to it for no additional charge.
