We hired Gecho to build out dream home on Royal Oaks golf course in July of 2015. Peter Gecho was barely present and even when he was there he was always in a hurry to be someplace else. He told the subs to deal directly with us and that’s when we discovered he had been under paying the subs and padding the bills! We fired him in December 2016. To date we have a defective roof, a floor so badly buckled the tile had to be torn out twice, shoddy plumbing, and he missed critical inspections so we are having a hard time getting a final occupancy permit! Peter Gecho also pocketed the 100k deposit instead of depositing it in the bank. We have had to hire another builder to help us finish the home, and an attorney to get our money back! Do not do business with this person!

Gecho Construction is THE home builder to STAY AWAY from!
We were pleased with our new home, and even the price, until we found out the we generously OVERPAID for it.
In the beginning stages of contracting Gecho, they provided us with several estimates to show us where the pricing for our home had come from - we later found out, that after Gecho would ask for the estimates for numerous sub-contractors, he would then scan the estimates onto their computer and change the prices! We paid Gecho Construction a 35% builders fee to compensate them for building our home - but we really, we paid them TWICE that much as they marked up EVERY estimate they recieved by $1,000 - $2,000 and then pocketed the money! When working with Gecho it was our understanding that they would be the middle men - we would pay them, and they would pay the sub-contractors for us based on the estimates and invoices that came in - they were even marking up the invoices from sub-contractors to that we would pay Gecho MORE than what was actually being charges and they would pocket the extra!!! We are seeking council on what can be done about this - but this much I CAN SAY - DO NOT go through Gecho, and if you do, double CHECK ALL DOCUMENTS and numbers that come from them!!!!!
