***IF YOU CANT CANCEL - what they don’t tell you - send a cancellation email w/ name, address, phone number and your secret word. TO MAKE IT OFFICIAL, end it with your written signature (I took a picture of mine and inserted it at the end). They won’t cancel any other way…and they won’t tell you you need it. It was buried in your contract you signed and didn’t get a copy of.***

Noticed problems with my alarm being set off randomly, sometimes while I was home. It was determined that the glass break sensor was to blame as it was going off in stay in addition to away. I have a dog and was sold this device for just this ability. After hours of troubleshooting with fluent they told me it didn't work with my control panel that they installed and that I'd have to pay to upgrade it. That's one piece of useless equipment. Then my camera stopped working because I changed my SSID after the big router hack. I managed to get it set up with the WPS button on an old router (because WPS isnt supported on decent hardware because it's inherently insecure) then tried to swap with no luck. Support tells me to hardwire it to my router. I inform them that this was installed through my garage wall and that I can't do that do to the power. Then then say that they can't replace the camera because it's over 1 year old. Keep in mind I'm on a five year contract. I tell them to just cancel the extra $20 a month video feed cost then and they say they can't because they can't take the equipment back because it's OVER A YEAR OLD. That's 2 out of 4 automation devices that don't work and they will do nothing about. I have started a new home automation company. Fluent won't be getting any business from me unless something fundamentally changes about their support. I'm considering asking for a copy of my contract to have my lawyer look at breach of contract. Young company so maybe they’ll pull their head out, but until then stay away.
