Owner provided a sincere and reasonable explanation of what happened, so while we missed the chance to connect, he showed a true interest in following up. I can see that he has many satisfied customers, so if I need work in the future, I will consider him in the bidding process.

 + -1 moreMarcus showed up on time and got right to determine where a crawl space leak was coming from. A plumbing company determined that the leak was from the water feature, but after much determination from Marcus, it was not. Since it was beyond the scope of his services he did not charge for his time which was amazing since he spent at least an hour trying to determine what was happening. He gave some good advice afterward also. If I ever need someone from his field I would not hesitate to hire him.

 + 4 moreThe project took three full days since it was large. They were always prompt, prepared, and kind. They were open to our questions and suggestions. Our input was welcomed as it helped guide any changes in the plan. We had a lot of stone, rock, bark dust and gravel brought in and they also hauled away a lot of unwanted plants and other debris as well. They were able to take what was already a good plan and make adjustments as they went along. Ultimately, they created a really stunning result. Couldn't be any happier and will be using them again for some repairs and construction!
Description of Work: This is our second time to work with Marc and the team at Executive Care Landscape and Construction. Two years ago they tore off a 700 sf deck and re-designed and installed a beautiful new deck with cable railing. Their design skill, craftsmanship, and attention to detail was so exceptional that we decided to have them come back and help us with an entire yard makeover. We always had good conversations about the project and helped us establish a better budget for the kind of work we wanted them do. We already had a nice existing yard but we needed some older trees, hedges and ground cover removed. We also wanted a yard that needed less care and better overall appeal. Our 1/3 of an acre yard has no fencing and sits on a corner. It's all exposed and so we had them address everything- front, back and sides. They installed a long low rock wall for planting beds, added soil in many areas, moved gravel, created pathways around the side of the house, installed a large dry creek bed with an area for planting out of river rock that is stunning, worked on some erosion and drainage problems, added larger rock to soften existing plantings and created focal points, and lastly, they took care of spreading the bark dust.

 + -1 moreBeautiful job! The patio is quite lovely. The crew worked hard daily until it was finished. This job also included creating a drainage system as the yard is sloped. The drainage system runs in two different directions protecting the house from moisture. Some excavation of the slope was also performed to give us a finished job. The patio is extra large with a nice seating wall that runs the length of it. All in all it was a bit more costly than I expected but the work was top notch.

He and Kevin both put their sense of vision to work and as a result we went from a quite ugly and unusable back yard to something exquisite. Our new patio is grand and impressive with the concrete retaining wall adding a very modern look coupled with functionality. We have a slight slope to our backyard and they placed French drains to protect our home's foundation in a manner that provides confidence and beauty at once. Everyone on the team worked hard daily and our project was completed in a timely fashion. Great crew that were personable, easy to talk with and punctual. If you have a yard that needs some vision I would highly recommend Executive Care.

Marcus has a great eye on making everything fit together. We have had Executive Care do several jobs for us and have never been disappointed. Would highly recommend.

 + 1 moreIt was a fairly small job. The work went very well the team was on time and completed the work quickly. The thing to note is this fact. I live in a townhouse I occupy the center unit in a three until building. Access to the rear was not easy strictly speaking. The install team trampled some landscaping my neighbor had done (when it was done I hadn't noticed as I was working). I was informed by the neighbor that evening that she informed the crew that her landscaping needed to be restored to where it was prior to their arrival. When the job was completed the team followed through and fixed my neighbors landscaping back to where it had been before work on my property was started. I was very pleased with this as it kept my relationship with the neighbors on a good footing. Aside from that I was very pleased with the outcome of the job. The wall looks great, and so does the fencing.
Description of Work: I had a 3.5ft retaining wall installed along with approximately 30 ft of 6ft cedar fencing installed.

That was in addition to the ideas about my lawn. To show you how well it was done and how good it looked I had people stopping at my house and knocking on my door asking who did the work. I have used him for several years on several major projects. Not only does he listen well and meets my expectation but he always seems to exceed them. His crew is great and the quality of the work is always excellent. I rarely give recommendations but in the case you simply can't go wrong.

 + 3 moreMarc and his crew were on time and on budget. We worked together on a design and then laid out a schedule to make it happen in the tight time period available. The project was very labor intensive because the property had a lot of black plastic buried a foot deep or so. All of that had to be removed along with a great deal of old stumps and root material. The original sprinkler system had to be reworked and relocated which was done without a problem. A new lawn was installed along with low voltage lighting and a creative walkway. Marc was very communicative during the whole process and explained everything he was doing and also gave me different ideas for future plantings. I will definitely consider him and his company for future landscape projects.
Description of Work: Complete overhaul of backyard. Installation of gravel pathway, sprinkler system, low voltage lighting and 1200 square feet of lawn.

He was always available to talk and coordinate prior to starting the project and is naturally customer service oriented. A real pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: Surface drainage system . From 5 downspouts ,installed drainage pipes under the turf leading to separate surface drains . Previously the water was coming down the downspouts and dumping roof water right at the foundation line. Coordinated with contractor who simultaneously installed a new concrete patio , to get one of the pipes installed before the concrete was poured over it. Also trimmed one of our dogwood trees

 + -1 moreMy back yard looked horrible, like a vacant lot to be sure. Marcus came and when I gave him my budget AND my awful work schedule he and his crew transformed my yard into an oasis! They were professional, respectful, and basically fantastic to say the very least. I have 2 dogs, one huge, one small, and Marcus and his crew were great with the pets...and my dogs LOVED them all!! My yard looks wonderful, he created such a peaceful atmosphere for me to relax after a stressful work day. Before Marcus and his crew I hated to even LOOK at the back yard and now I spend more time outside just looking at it and enjoying the atmosphere he's created for me. I have color, I have privacy, I have peace. His crew was amazing...and yes, I made sure they had fluids and food while they were at my home, BUT...they were some of the hardest working, most respectful people I have EVER encountered!! I plan to use him to transform my front yard in the spring. My advise to anyone who needs landscaping done....CALL MARCUS...he truly is an artist!!

By explaining how the system worked and showing me how to install new emitters and plugs in case a plant is removed, he gave me confidence that I also can take care of small issues myself as they arise. He noticed that a previous installer had left some hot wires open and was able to fix the problem. That is especially important since I have a small grandchild that likes to play in the area. Unlike my previous installer, he answers his calls promptly and comes at the scheduled time. Marc's workers were efficient, pleasant and cleaned up after themselves
