When our rowhouse discovered we had long standing dry rot issues under our porches we contacted a number of contractors to submit proposals. Decco had the best price of the contractors that understood the scope of the work. Unfortunately the damage was much more extensive once the project was begun and the porches were opened up. While this was not good news Nik and Demetrie made sure we were kept involved every step of the way, showing us what they found and how the problems could be addressed. Throughout the project they did a great job controlling costs but making sure we would be 100% structurally sound. Because of the hidden damage the project took longer than planned but they did an unbelievable job of working with individual households to accommodate a variety of schedules and concerns. Based on the way they handled this very challenging project I would absolutely hire Nik and Demetire again and highly recommend them to others.

Nik and Dimitri are wonderful. They sided the south section of our home this past summer and when I called to ask if they could fix a rotten window trim on the north side of our home they responded very quickly. They not only repaired the trim but made sure the siding around it was in good condition. They are very professional and their work is excellent.

They maintained a very professional and responsive attitude to a project that neither of us anticipated taking so long. The install went smooth and it is a work of art.

From the estimate to the clean-up, Decco Design staff were prompt, courteous, and thorough. The project (woodwork repair, pressure washing, painting, and fence staining at personal residence) was completed on time and within budget, and I have been delighted with the quality of the work.

Nik and his partner were fast and courteous. I really enjoyed working with them. They were able to schedule us quickly, and they did excellent work. Midway through the project, Nik came by on a Sunday to ensure the rain wasn't causing any issues. They were great about cleaning up after themselves. I've used them twice and would again.

On the residing project, they provided a reasonable bid and fit us into their schedule, completing the job on short notice so that we could keep within our timetable for the painters coming in two weeks (another contractor had backed out on the job). They were professional and did good work in the time that we'd discussed. What we appreciated most was how honest and straightforward they were to work with. Because of that trust, we asked them back on a bigger project to rebuild our deck and stairs. They worked with the composite product we selected and gave us design options that fit into our budget. When they found some water damage under one portion of the siding, the additional price to fix that was reasonable. We are very happy with the final product on both projects.

Nik and his partner Demetrie were prompt, fair, professional and communicated well. Their estimate was fair and complete, their work methods and quality of craftsmanship were above average, they were courteous, respectful and clean, they completed all of the work, and they cleaned up after themselves and hauled the old window and all debris away. They know what they are doing! In our case, everything they did to waterproof the opening and install the new window to prevent future problems was correct. I have worked in the window business for many years. I have witnessed window failures in the field due to incorrect installation. Nik and Demetrie used the correct installation methods and deserve an A grade in my book. I would hire Decco Design LLC again in the future for this type of work.

Decco Design was prompt in appraisal and started the project right away. They identified an unforseen issue (rotted support posts for the deck roof) and were able to repair that also. The quality of their work is excellent, and we are completely satisfied with our new Trex deck. The price was fair and the time it took was reasonable.

DeccoDesign asked if there was another project they could do instead of wood rot repair on front steps. I suggested the backyard fence and gate needed rebuilding. They looked it over and gave me a bid. We discussed specific needs for suppirting and anchoring the fence since it was placed across the cement driveway. Their planned strategy seemed good.They could do it later that week while I had several other appointments. They brought all the lumber and hardware and finished the fence before I even got home. The job was professionally done as we had discussed. It looks good. Unfortunately they had to come back for payment because I did not get home before they finished. I had offered to bring payment over to them in Vancouver but they came back anyway. I paid by check and thanked them for a good job d8ne very quickly.

Phenomenal!  I got 5 quotes, I think.  The others were either insanely high [$25K for a 1200 sq foot ranch...it's like a 23 square roof...that's ridiculous], or laughably low [$8K, and the materials lists demonstrated why].  Decco understood the extent of the project and came through exactly on budget.  They knew every inch of material and provided me a list prior to hiring them.  They also use quality stuff [they proactively used 30# felt, I didn't even have to ask].  They came out TWICE before I even hired them.  My father-in-law is a retired contractor and gave them his "seal of approval" before I hired.  They didn't once come back to me with issues, because everything was so well thought out before they even started the job.  Even their cleanup was exceptional -- many contractors aren't as careful about this, but we have a dog and a 14 month-old, so we were naturally concerned about rogue nails and such.  They walked a magnet around the whole yard several times.  They did such a good job I think I'm going to hire them to finish off the crawlspace insulation.  I typically do most home jobs myself, but I'm so tickled with the job they did I would just as soon hire things done!

Nik was very prompt in getting our appointment set up.  He was very clear with what I needed to pick up from the hardware store before his arrival.  His crew was quick, efficient, and did a great job under the time estimated.

Everything went great.  I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal providing 4 hours of woodworking / carpentry / dry rot repair for $159 back in February, to help me with repairing a corner of my house where the wood trim and siding had some dry rot.  I got a call within a day or two to schedule the work.  I let Nick know I had the area wrapped up in plastic sheeting to keep out the water and asked if we could wait until the weather got better so I could unwrap it and let it air out for a few days before doing the work.  He was good with that and we arranged for him to call me in a couple of months.  Just like he said, Nick called me (I was impressed that I didn't have to call him!), but I wasn't quite ready for him so he agreed we could put it off until later in May.  That time came around and he called me again and we scheduled the work.  He told me what materials I would need so that when they came out we could finish the project in one visit.
On the scheduled day, Nick and a fellow carpenter arrived right on time.  They were super courteous, removed their shoes every time they came into the house (which was many times because the project was off our back deck), and were very careful and professional.  As a DIY-er, I especially appreciated the fact that they not only let me watch what they were doing, but answered countless questions I had for them about dry rot repair.  So I got my siding and trim fixed and got a valuable training in home maintenance at no extra charge.  These men were competent, professional, efficient, and courteous.   I will definitely call them again on future projects.

They did a wonderful job.  They were timely and were judicious with any materials that I had purchased.  They even gave me a few tips on how to keep the shed water tight. I had to leave the job site before they were finished.  They cleaned up and even cut down the the old door into sizes that would fit into my garbage so that I would not have to make a special trip to the dump.  I would highly recommend them. Great job Decco Designs.
