CLARK COUNTY PAINTING INC

I chose Clark County Painting for two reasons. One, because my boyfriend had had his house painted by them several years ago and the paint job still looks terrific. And two, because when I called them in December to quickly come out and give me a ballpark estimate while I was negotiating the purchase of my house, they came out on a moment's notice and not only gave a ballpark estimate, but a detailed estimate which they stood by even though I did not have the house painted till last month. The work was done in three phases, pressure-washing, then repair, some scraping, caulking and priming, then the painting itself. The company is very busy so I had to wait a couple of weeks for the work to begin, but I was not in a hurry, and had told them so. All of the workers were personable, prompt, listened to all of my concerns and questions and accommodated everything I asked. Many of them have worked for this company for years. More pieces of siding had to be replaced (they were rotten due to shrubs that had been growing against the house) than were originally quoted, but no additional charges were applied. My neighbor has an old car parked near my house and the workers covered it with plastic so no paint would get on it. The original quote did not include taxes, and when I expressed surprise at the invoice, the owner knocked that amount off the bill. The owner of the company came out the day after work was complete to carefully inspect the work, and found some spots I had not seen that needed touch-up. He scheduled the workers to come back out and take care of it. There was a small amount of paint water that got on my driveway and the owner arranged to have the driveway pressure washed for me at no extra charge. If I had any issue at all with Clark Painting, I would say it is communication only. I would have liked periodic calls while I was waiting for the work to keep me apprised. However, I knew how to pick up the phone and call them, so it was a minor issue for me.

We selected Clark County Painting to do our exterior, with
some hesitation because they were the low bid of three – by quite a bit. Now
that the job is complete, we are more than satisfied. As part of the bid they refinished our front
door, sealed a leaking gutter, and painted the entire house. The workmanship was superb – the men doing the
work clearly took pride in their efforts, and desired (and got) complete
satisfaction. Their work was top quality
from pressure washing to finishing touches.
We will use them again in 15 years or so, and recommend them most
highly. One reservation is that their
office staff is unable or unwilling to make phone calls to confirm schedules or
to notify of changes in schedule. A+ for the service, C- for the office.

I got about three estimates for this and their price was competitive. They really did a great job! I haven’t had any problems with the paint. They are one of the few contractors I have used in Clark County that have been good. I would hire them again, but it was such a good paint job it’ll last for at least 15 years!

Ed was very pleasant to deal with and ended up even being recommended by one of his competitors in the bidding process. His workers did an excellent job on each task (One minor complaint was there were some smokers on the crew so I had to keep the windows closed while they were working. Not really a big deal but, I am asthmatic. I never even mentioned this to Ed by the way.). Ed came out during the job to check on progress and helped me pick the right color for the door and decide on doing some accent painting to make the house pop. When he came out the first time I showed him an area my husband was concerned about and he had the men back roll that location to make extra certain the coverage was good. When he came to deliver the bill he identified another area that he thought needed a little more paint and sent someone back the very next morning to address it. I still don't know exactly where the additional paint went! I've hired them for an additional job now as well.
