Cascade Tree Works LLC

I hired Cascade Tree Works to cut down three douglas fir trees for me. I requested tall stumps to be left. On the morning of the tree removal, the foreman came to the door to discuss the plan. I told him to leave 8 foot stumps. He verbalized back to me "8 foot stumps". (It was also written in the contract that I wanted tall stumps left). When I went out to check on progress a short time after they started, I discovered that they had cut the first tree nearly down to the ground. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Fortunately, they did leave the other two tree stumps tall. I know mistakes happen. I am sharing this experience to help other people avoid it. I had thought about putting a sign on each tree with the words, "Leave 8 foot stump". I THINK it might have prevented this mistake from happening. There was also considerable damage to the yard. (More than I had expected). I have some work to do on that. There is a hole a foot deep that I discovered while mowing on my riding mower. Fortunately, I saw it before driving in to it. (My mower would have been stuck, possibly damaged). It would have been good to have a heads up from the crew.

They took care of all the needed permit work prior to removing spruce tree. Nice to not have to deal with that.

This was the second time we used Cascade to manage our trees. The crew of seven showed on time and after a short review of the project got right to work. They did a great job taking down three trees and trimming several others. I was really impressed by how well they cleaned up all the resulting debris and hauling it all away.

Excellent, professional service. Rich and his crew arrived on time and skillfully performed the tree work without problems. The care, skill and attention to the work was evident as I watched the process which included thorough cleanup of the lawn.

I was impressed by the friendly professionalism provided by Sharon, Richard and Rick (and crew) from the initial phone call to the completion of the work, including clean-up and final walk through. I appreciated it when Rick told me at the beginning of the work to ask him or the crew any questions at any time. Also, I was asked questions and/or to look over the work to determine if I approved during progress of the work. For me that set a high standard for Cascade Tree Works. The completed work and clean-up look genuinely nice! In fact, the next-door neighbor mentioned how nice the completed job looks and thought the cost for the work was very reasonable. I must mention that after I accepted the proposal, I noticed that some branches from an adjacent tree could be cut at the same time. I decided to let it go for now and did not mention it anyone. During the final walk through I noticed the branches were indeed cut leaving a nice grassy open space and very esthetically pleasing. I will certainly be using Cascade Tree Works services in the future.

Everything was top notch. Their arborist was highly knowledgeable, the crew was highly professional and extremely hard-working, and the price was very fair.

Our first appointment was with arborist Richard, who guided us on the best approach for dealing with the sick birches, as well as coping with our neighbor's mature maple tree planted next to our joint fence and overhanging our roof. Richard provided a proposal and estimate. A few days later a contract proposal arrived. We had hired other arborists in the past but were quite surprised by the extensive legal language in this contract. We understand the need for tree service providers to explain to their customers the need for preparing their property for the work and limiting the service provider's liability for things that could go wrong, this contract came very close to making us look elsewhere for service. The company might want to think about preparing this contract in a different tone. As it was getting late in the year, we decided to go forward with reservations. On the day scheduled for service, arborist Matt arrived promptly with another worker. They accomplished the work quickly and efficiently and cleaned our yard of falling branches and leaves. There were no problems such as those hinted at in the contract. The crew took care to avoid hurting nearby shrubs, as we requested.

They arrived on time. They were very professional, did an excellent job. Cleaned up afterwords, I would definitely recommend Cascade Tree works for your tree or stump work.

Excellent from start to finish! Greg, the business owner and arborist, arrived right on time to provide a detailed estimate of the work we wanted done. He spent time answering all our questions and ensuring we were aware of the scope of the work needed and the expected outcomes. We appreciated his expertise and advice and booked the work. We mentioned that if a cancellation provided an earlier appointment for the work, we would be available. We were notified by the office staff that a cancellation had opened a sooner appointment and we accepted it. On the day of the work, the crew arrived on time (despite a POURING rain/wind storm) and while the arborist provided a quick review of the work to be done, the other crew members went right to work setting up chipper, etc. Everything was done exactly as expected and the crew took great care to clean up all debris generated by the work and even some leaves from the removed trees that had fallen prior to the start of the removal. What wonderful customer service! The trimmed maples all look beautiful and we are very pleased! The stump grinding was done as scheduled and each area left neatly groomed. Every aspect of our interaction with Greg, the office staff and the crew doing the work, proved that Cascade Tree Works is an organization of professionalism and friendly customer service. We will be using Cascade for more regular maintenance of our trees from now on and have already recommended them to friends considering tree work. Thank you Cascade Tree Works!

Thank you so much for the tree trimming. The job was quick (less than hour) and the guys left my yard and the neighbor's yard super clean. They even cut the wood into fireplace lenths and stacked it where I asked them to. To top it off, they blew all the mess off my roof and out of the rain gutters. Thanks so very much, Cheryle Hyman.

I was impressed by crew. They cleaned up and communicated with me during the day.

There was quite a bit to be done.  For the quality I'd give them an "A" for sure.  They get all "A's".

Greg and his crew removed and trimmed up over 20 trees along my property line so I could install fencing. They worked very hard to make sure I could meet my fencing installation deadline, and did a great job cleaning up tree fall areas after they were done. Overall, they very trustworthy and careful.

Service was great, rendered on the scheduled date(s). Phone and tree-cutting staff were generally professional and friendly.

The contractor's staff came on time, worked hard and did a outstanding job. All were most respectful of my comments and needs. Greg the owner of the business worked the day on the job with his crew. When he submitted the invoice for his work, it came in lower than the original bid. Notable, in my point of view, was the team had a certified arborist on staff (Greg); the business was properly bonded and licensed; and the Department of Labor information showed the business in good standing. This business lived up to their reputation in the community and as posted on Angie's List. Though I would have preferred to keep my trees, they were sick and Cascade Tree Works served well in helping me do so.

Great. Care was taken to take height off the top of the tree while shaping it nicely. Also cuts were done in a way to damage the tree the least.

Very good job.

It went well.  They did good.  The trees were damaged by a wind storm.  They cut down three large and six smaller trees.  They also shredded everything that needed to be shred and cut into firewood. We already have an appointment for them to come back next year.
