We replaced our old furnace with a new high efficiency furnace. Shawn came out and helped us figure what to get and gave us 4 options and estimates for each. We chose the third estimate. We set up the appointment, and set the date. Two men came to our home and did the job of removing our old furnace and AC and installing our new ones. It took 2 1/2 days to do the job and it turned out wonderful. The men were great to work with and did a terrific job. They were very polite and fun and answered all our questions. We have used Blairco for about 30+ years, and they come twice every year and do maintenance on our furnace and AC.

Jake Miller, their staff member, was OUTSTANDING! He was thorough, meticulous, knowledgeable, and courteous. I was favorably shocked at how wonderful all his work was, including precision, neatness, and true grasp of what needed to be done. Our a/c now works better and we can feel the improvement especially during these hot and humid days. I would hire these people, and especially Jake, in one second. Worth the money in all respects!

The first man who came out to give me a bid on a new furnace gave an estimate of $800-1000 to fix the old one. He recommended I fix it rather than buy new. I said OK. Then when they called to make the appointment they said it would be $1300. I asked them to talk with Steve who had given the first bid. They said that was right. Even though I heard Steve call his parts people when he was here...he read off the manufacturers numbers and asked for the part price as well as the time required to do the repair. So I made the appointment. The day before the appointment I had a voice mail from them saying that they were not going to come unless I called them to confirm that I would be home. So luckily I was able to place a call to them before they closed and I said I would be home the next day. The next day I was expecting them first thing and since I was at home I made some business calls and was on hold for a while. After I finished the calls it was almost 10 am and no one had come. I called their office and was told that the technician tried to call me and since it went to my voicemail they decided not to come. I said it would have been nice if they had told me I would have to stay off my phone the day of the appointment...and why did I have to call them the day before to confirm that I would be home. The person I spoke to said "well, you might have gotten in an auto accident last night and so we had to verify by another call today..."" The receptionist was very rude and said they would never tell customers to stay off the phone. So the technician finally came and started to work but found out that the replacement part was different from the original part and it would have to be re-wired or something like that so it would cost another two hours labor but they would split the difference. Made another appointment and I stayed off the phone that day. The technician who did the work was nice and Steve was nice. The person on the other end of the phone was not nice and if she worked for me she would not have a job. I have no way of knowing the quality of the work since the furnace was working before and after the job was done. After the repair was done, I asked the technician to look at the insert in my fireplace which was not working. I was given a bid for repair of the insert but did not trust that company to do the work. The Blairco tech looked at the insert and said he would call me with a bid on the cost to fix that. It has been over a week and I have not heard from him. I am not going to call them and talk to Mrs. Nasty...and so this just goes to professionalism...I probably should not have given them a C rating.

Estimate, purchase and install went very well. Inspections were not ordered for a week or so after installation so there was a small delay in the completion of the project. All in all, excellent service and responsiveness.

The price was incredibly good. It was a very, very attractive price. Prior to that, I was limping along with my old system, so it was a furnace and air conditioner that were towards the end of their useful life. Money was tight for me, and I didn't want to spring that much money for a new system until I needed to, and I told them that. They said, that's great, we work for you, you don't work for us! So, they kept me going for several years and sometimes I wouldn't call them in time to service my air conditioner. So, I would go to turn it on in the spring and summer and it wouldn't work. I would call them and of course, that's their Christmas season for that. I would say, now look this is true! I had two dogs with heart disease and to put me where they needed to put me to get in. Then one of the dogs with heart disease also developed lung cancer and if I told them that, they would come and they would get there in time. Then prior to that I was still limping along, I had a cat with liver cancer. They took care of me. Then when my HVAC system finally got bad enough that I had to go ahead and replace it. I had to be down for about a week, but it was again August. So, they brought me in these large portable air conditioners because I still had one dog with heart disease. It's a pretty good story!

Excellent! From Steve who bid the job, to Amanda who handles the paperwork to Shawn and one other gentleman who did the installation, we can't say how happy we are with the work! My research narrowed down the furnace brands, then we made it clear when soliciting bids we did not want a cadillac furnace but were interested in increased gas efficiency. For the first time over many projects, I did not need to negotiate the bid and go back and forth. This bid was significantly lower (even compared to another very reputable company carrying the same brand) and based on company reviews and friend's personal knowledge of the company, we hired them without hesitation. I should note Steve even suggested a service call that might allow us to limp along for a few more years with our existing furnace. But we decided after 20 years of service life, it was time to replace the system so we didn't need to do it in the winter.

It went okay at first, I had been sold a bad heat pump but within time and testing they eventually brought a new one that worked great. But they certainly lived up to their warranty and did everything they could to make it right.

We have ceiling heat and wanted to upgrade to a more efficient system and take advantage of the rebate from CPU. Blairco was not the least expensive estimate we received, but they also weren't the most expensive and in the range of most (I got four estimates). We chose Blairco based on their reputation and I thought the Mitsuibishi brand they install was better (but have nothing to base that on other than internet research). They installed the outdoor unit and a head in the living room and one in the master bedroom.

The work started on time and took as long as they said it would, about a full day. They did not make a mess and cleaned up so you could hardly tell they were here.

We did have a couple problems that they addressed right away. The electrician subcontractor used a circuit other than the one I requested. Upon notification Blairco had them come out the same day and make it right.

We also had problem with a slightly noisy, but irritating, vibration from the larger unit in the living room. It was one of those things that didn't happen all the time, but fortunately it happen when they came to look at it. It took two visits before they determined the problem. First they replaced the unit because they determined the fan was off center. The second technician determined correctly that the unit was not braced to the wall sufficiently and at certain speeds it caused a slight rattle. Adding additional anchoring of the back of the unit to the wall, solved the problem.

We are very pleased with the quiet operation.
