BARKEE INSPECTION SERVICES

We heard of Barkee through a flier. He was easy to contact and available for the inspection at the time of our choosing. He arrived promptly and did a very thorough job. He found items that our original move-in inspector did not find. These were all minor but were items our builder agreed were covered under the warranty. His report also recommended what homeowner maintenance would be needed in coming years. This was very helpful. He took photos of all areas he found needing repair so we could show these to our builder. He delivered the report via .pdf file in email, although he would have sent a printed report if we preferred.

Mainly we hired him because our kitchen floor was uneven but the inspector refused to do a specific measurement of the kitchen floor. We had no data to use for our warranty inspection with the builder. I asked him to measure the floor and he said no. We were frustrated and felt we wasted our money and time because who can you hire, if not a home inspector, to serve this purpose when negotiating with the builder.
