AUTUMN ARBOR CARE

This family-run business is a model for any family. Father, mother, son, and daughter(?) worked efficiently and tirelessly for 8 hours. Great communications and experience kept the job moving and safe. Barrels were placed over delicate plants under the trees for protection. Branches were cut and lowered by rope, then stubs cut off and dropped carefully to the ground. Despite the occasional accumulation of branches on the ground, no significant damage was done to any plant! All removed material was chipped and the area raked and cleaned up better than I could do it!

We had 5 very tall Douglas Fir trees and a Maple tree that needed cleaning out. That included taking out all the deadwood, broken limbs, crossing limbs, and general pruning of the maple. We also had a large maple that was very sick, in fact a major branch had broken off narrowly missing our fence. On Michael?s recommendation, this tree was removed and the stump ground out. Michael is an Arborist, very knowledgeable, professional yet personable, and hard working. From my initial contact with him to the final immaculate cleanup he was prompt and courteous. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and a couple of my neighbors noticed too as they hired Autumn Arbor to do jobs for them as well! I will definitely call him again for any other tree service.

They did a beautiful job, caring not only for the looks of the tree but its overall health. Mike also removed five small invasive trees from my back yard and told me how to deal with the shoots that would be coming up once the mother tree was gone. They were prompt, careful, and tidy. I asked them to leave me with the wood chips for me to use as mulch and they took $40 off the price. I'd hire them again.

I emailed Mr Mills for an estimate, he called me for a time to come to see the project, I got a Emailed quote 2 days later, I E mailed him to do the job, he called to confirm the day. Job done tree removed, no limbs to pickup or lawn damage, stump not ground up to preserve soil stability

Mike provided a very detailed bid, arrived as scheduled and did a fabulous job including a very thorough clean up of all debris. Mike is a knowledgable and skilled arborist and very professional. I highly reccommend Autumn Arbor Care.

Michael came and walked around yard; we discussed what should be done and what could wait. He gave an estimate and next day we decided on a date for the work. Workers came, did a thoughtful and careful job. With an eye toward health of the trees and shrubs, and esthetic considerations, did an excellent job. They worked quickly and carefully. We discussed future care and his recommendations. We look forward to having this company care for our yard in the future.

Mike was very professional and during the estimate appointment, he explained exactly what he planned on doing and how it would effect the trees later. He was extremely prompt the day of service, and didn't leave a trace that he'd been there afterward. He also covered up the plants in the backyard with garbage cans, so they weren't at risk during the work.

Called for quote, came by as agreed to give quote. Called a few days later to accept quote and work was schedule two weeks out. Arrived as planned and did the work with two others. Very professional well done work with no mess left behind. Took care not to damage flowers/shrubs by putting garbage cans over them while working near them. Without asking, gave a 10% discount when he heard I found him on Angie's list.

I called Autumn Arbor Care three times. I left my name, my phone number and a brief description of the work I need to have done. No one returned my call. I can only assume that they don't want the work, but it would have been nice if someone had returned my call to let me know.

I contacted 2 Angie's list arborists. The first one was almost twice the price and had a hard time submitting the bid (I had to pursue 3 times). Mike's bid was reasonable and he is very personable and professional. He sent me a form that my neighbor needed to sign, and when I was having trouble catching my neighbor at home over the holidays, Mike went by and talked to the neighbor and got the necessary okays and signatures himself. He did the pruning as requested on the specified day, cleaned up beautifully, and followed up professionally. It is no surprise to me he earns a lot of A's on this rating service. One could hardly ask for a better contractor-client relationship.

Mike and wife were a bit late, but did call to let us know, Once the started trimming back our Cyprus they did a great job. We wanted it to look like it just had a light haircut and that's exactly what we got. They cleaned up and were done in less than 2 hours. They even took a limb off of a tree on our Associations property that had snapped in the last cold spell. Even better, they were nice enough to clean up all the peanut shells left on the back patio by our squirrel friends. Great job!!

Michael was one of 3 tree service contractors who provided an estimate to prune/trim numerous trees and shrubs on our property. He was not initially chosen to do the work, as his bid was a bit higher than the other two. Given the benefit of hindsight, we should have gone with his company from the 'get go.' As it worked out, the other Angie's list contractor we authorized to do the work overtrimmed and overpruned several trees and shrubs. We subsequently recontacted Michael to assist in replacing four trees and transplanting another one. He ground the stumps of the removed trees, planted the replacement trees, repositioned several 'in ground' lights once the new trees were planted, cleaned up and removed all debris. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and professional.

Excellent! Michael has done work in my yard before and will again as we have already planned for the fall trimming of four large trees and two small ones that he has manicured before. After he did this trimming I contacted him about some curled leaves on a tree he planted for me several years ago and he has stopped by several times just to check on it. He is so conscientious!

This is the second time we used Mike for our tree needs. He was even more helpful and informative this time than he was the first. He scheduled a time,but due to a large wind storm that hit Vancouver he needed to reschedule in order to care for more urgent tree problems. He kept in touch and since we were not in a huge hurry it was fine for us to wait. He took out a tree in the backyard and other than the tree being gone you would never know he was there. He did a beautiful job! He also pruned an unruly Pin Oak in the front yard and made it look reallly quite noce. He also pointed out that the tree is not as healthy as it should be because it is getting over watered. Gave us lot of tips on how to help the tree survive.

Mike showed up promptly a couple of days later, with a tree chipper attached to his truck. He immediately went to work cutting back the laurel, which was huge and while he was working he came across a bird nest with three baby birds in it. He told me he was going to move it over to the adjacent cherry tree. I was concerned because I had heard that a mother bird will not come back to her nest if it is touched by human hands. He told me that was a fallacy, and agreed that he would move the nest and the babies. Mike built a temporary home for the nest, out of branches, and then tenderly moved the babies and the nest, while mama bird was sitting in ?another? tree chirping away, trying to tell us, I am sure, that we should be gentle with her new family! Then, when he finished trimming the laurel, he made another ledge out of branches and tenderly moved the nest back into the original tree. Mike did an amazing job completing the yard work and hauling away and chipping the branches. He left no mess and even took the branches that I had cut myself to his chipper. We arranged for another appointment so when the babies had flown away for him to remove the nest, finish trimming the tree (he wasn?t able to complete the trimming of this tree because he needed the branches for the nest). Mike was here yesterday to complete the job! He was always professional, always prompt, always environmentally conscious and a real gentlemen. I would recommend him highly.

Mike was great to work with. Very friendly and professional. He was generous with his time when giving the estimate and offered advice on other trees and shrubs in our yard. He obviously knows his trade very well. The pruning job looks great. And he advised us on a potential problem with the tree trunk being covered up with too much soil, which could lead to rot in the future. His price seemed very fair. He was prompt in returning calls, and let us know when his schedule changed due to unforseen circumstances and was very polite about it.

I emailed his web site on a Sunday and he called me first thing Monday morning. He was able to come over and provide an estimate later the same day. I appreciate that he noticed a weeping Maple in the front that needed some thinning and asked if I wanted that done as well. He scheduled the work for later the same week. We had an out of town trip and were unable to be home to pay him as promised. He left the bill and graciously dropped by the following day for the check. Clean up was excellent and I would recommend Mike Mills for any pruning needs. It is a bonus that he chips the limbs and takes them to the local dog park.

We found Michael on Angie's List, and decided to use him based on the reputation he was given by other clients on the site. His estimate was very reasonable, and his work and work ethic outstanding. In addition, we had been at Shorty's Nursery earlier and asked for recommendations for tree and shrub service, and they highly recommended Autumn Arbor, Michael's company. All of these recommendations proved to be 100% on the mark.

Gave a prompt reply and estimate. Estimate was 50% less than other Angie's List companies that were among the first ten listed. Showed up 30 minutes early and did exactly what we discussed. If I had anymore trees to remove I would call them without hesitation.

I called Mr. Mills who I talked to immediately, he came for an estimate one week later on time, but first calling to confirm the time. His estimate was $1,000 less than a previous one and presented it to me via email estimate. I accepted and he planned to come one week later, but rain and truck trouble delayed him, but he called and rescheduled. He came and preformed the above work perfectly and cleaned up all debris. I am very satisfied.

Received a phone call back the same day we called, this in and of it's self is rare these days. Michael came out to bid the job in a couple of days and agreed to do the work the next day. Work was completed exactly as expected, clean up was better...they picked up leaves that were not part of their job. He also, gave input on future work that will need to be done without being pushy. I plan on using them again in the immediate future for a rental property.

Michael is a great person to work with, and someone we can rely on. We will continue to use there services when needed. The entire job look less then two hours, I wish it would take that short amount of time to de-limb the two trees & cut up the wood!
