It went very well. We had thorough discussions with the arborist about what needed to be done. We made adjustments to fit our budget. The crew that showed up (3 men) was very industrious and careful. The job was set up and budgeted for 3 days, but they accomplished everything in one day; that fact affected my evaluation of the pricing, which was probably a bit high. The crew left the worksite in really good shape, especially considering how much material was removed.

The tree removal and trimming went quite well. The crew showed up on time, were fast and efficient and cleaned up everything nicely before they left. The big dead tree is gone and the two others that were trimmed look much better. I'm quite happy with Arborscape and believe I got a good value for my money. I would hire Arborscape again and would recommend them to friends.

Not good. We came home to find that the fence had been damaged after the tree trimming. Nobody had contacted us to let us know about the damage. We had to reach out and ask for the damage to be repaired. The person sent to repair the fence wrecked his truck into our neighbor's fence taking out a large section including 4 posts. The same person that destroyed the fence came out to replace it. The posts were crooked. We had to insist that a fence repair contractor undo and replace the fence properly. Our neighbor let us know that their sprinkler line was also damaged and shovel missing. What a headache! The tree trimming itself is ugly. I realize that this was what I ordered but a good tree trimmer will help to educate customers so that they make an informed decision. Make sure you know exactly what a whorl and a crown raise really means.

Upon arriving the two men and I talked about what I wanted done and what Matt had suggested to thin and balance the tree.  They soon went to work pruning and rebalancing the tree so that one side branch wasn't bearing too much weight.  It didn't take them long to do the job after which they came to the door to check with me about how well the work was performed.  I should add that they did a great job of cleaning up all the twigs and branches as well as carting them off.

I had worked with Arborscape in the past when they trimmed some trees on my son's rental property.  I was comfortable with the work they performed at that time and so had no hesitation on using them for our own home.  Matt came to provide an estimate the same day we called.  He was friendly, quick and professional.  After speaking with our neighbor we decided to go ahead and have the work done.  It was scheduled for a few days hence.  The day before they came I received an email giving me an approximate time of arrival.  The day of the service they called to let me know they were on the way.  The two workmen were courteous and went right to work.  In a little over an hour the work was completed.  When I went out to see how things looked I was stunned to find that they not only cleaned up after their mess but the area under the trees was much cleaner than when they arrived.  They cleaned up all the leaves the trees had dropped prior to their arrival.  I would and will use Arborscape again in the future.

They gave us an estimate for $2800.00 to trim a canopy of a silk tree, trim a cedar tree and then an alder tree. But a big branch of the cedar tree had broken off so they completely cut it down. It had fell on the neighbors and we had them clean it all up and cut it up and hauled it away. The problem with the tree was it had a bee hive in it and I couldn't get anyone else to go near it. We would have gotten all the work done but they wanted to wait a week until it got colder because of the bees but a windstorm came through and knocked the tree down so we only had the cedar taken care of. The bees were gone and the cavity was large. We left about 10 foot of the tree as it is in the middle of a hedge. They were very efficient and had a couple trucks come in and a crane and got it taken care of very quickly. He showed up at 8am the next morning and there were alot of trees down in the area due to the storm. I was very pleased with the work they done.

Matt came out to discuss the tree, he gave me a quote to trim up and to cut down.  I wanted to cut down but City of Vancouver would not give me a permit so I opted to trim up.  Maybe next year.
They showed up right on time, very organized and safety oriented team.  I was impressed that someone had eyes on the guy in the tree at all times.  They were quick efficent and cleaned up the yard and chipped up the branches and were done. 
If and when I get the permit to cut it down, I will be calling them.

Arborscape was recommended by Mike with Autumn Arbor because of the size of the tree. I contacted them in October, Matt contacted me the next day. He was punctual and thoroughly examined the tree. He gave me a couple of options and prices for both. Whene we were ready to address the tree he came out again and we agreed the tree needed to come down. They could not get to the tree for a few days as we had just had a huge wind storm. Matt had Jared come out and cable the tree together to prevent the tree from splitting until they could get to it the following Tuesday. They were here bright and early with a bucket truck and quickly took the tree down. Start to finish that huge tree was down in about 2 1/2 hours. They did a great job!!! Very conscientious about the surrounding area and cleaned up well. They are coming out tomorrow to grind the stump. I expect nothing less than the same professional service I recieved with the tree.

It was around $1200. There was one big tree and then they ground two stumps. What stands out about them is their total professionalism. They were prompt. It was good value.

I had 3 arborists given an opinion on whether this tree should be saved or removed. Matt Buttrell was by far the friendliest and easiest to work with.Matt even gave me a bonus pruning of my lilacs while we talked.
My first estimate was over a thousand dollars more. I am so glad I chose to get another opinion and found Arborscape. The tree crew was amazing. Three guys worked steadily for 3 hours to safely remove the Douglas Fir. I was fascinated to watch, and so were many of my neighbors! Their clean-up was impressive.
The stump grinding crew two days later did a nice clean-up job, also. I came home to nice, smooth areas with relatively little chips left behind.

I first dealt with Arborscape in 2011, when I sought an estimate to have a pear tree trimmed. Matt came by and gave me an honest assessment: It would cost more to trim the tree, than the tree was worth. However, he provided me with some maintenance suggestions. We did not do any business with Arborscape in 2011, but I followed Matt's suggestions (and did my own pruning) and now have a healthy, fruiting pear tree! Because of that interaction, I decided that I would contact Arborscape the next time I had a tree-related issue.

Fast forward to summer 2014. We had a huge prune tree that was beyond help, and two noxious ivy trees. I contacted Arborscape, as well as three other companies. Arborscape promptly returned my call and my free estimate was scheduled for the same day. The other three companies were much slower to respond and significantly more expensive. We decided to go with Arborscape, and I'm so glad we did. The workers arrived promptly at the scheduled hour and worked quickly and neatly. (I appreciated Arborscape's neatness, as they had to stand on a neighbor's lawn - with that neighbor's permission - to remove our trees. The crew did a nice job cleaning up the debris left on our neighbor's lawn.) The crew removed the stumps so well that it's impossible to even tell that trees stood there. Plus, they even removed an old unsightly stump, which wasn't part of the original agreement.

We're on almost an acre, most of which is wooded. I know that I will need an arborist again, and I will not hesitate to contact Arborscape first. It was a great transaction.

John showed up on time for the estimate and walked the property stating what he thought would be best for the trees we had. He was very knowledgable about the species and the best way to clean them up. He also pointed out an invasive species that had started to grow and said he would like to remove it also.
I am an ex forester, of which he did not know, and knew much of what he was stating was accurate. However I am to old to be climbing trees anymore.
He showed up on time for the work and cleaned up all of the mess that pruning trees can cause.
I would recommend John Butrell and Arborscape LTD INC. to anyone looking for an honest contractor at a reasonable cost.
This company is honest and has integrity, rare in todays contractors.

John and three others arrived promptly at 8:45 am, and were finished and gone four hours later.

When Matt came out for the estimate the week before, he and I went next door and spoke with the neighbor. Matt and I were concerned because of the Bonzi Plants the neighbor raises and sells, on platforms up against the fence right below the three cedars. This was a good idea, and the result was the neighbor is very pleased, and also kept their vicious dog inside during the work time, since the aborists needed to also be in neighbors yard.

I called and asked for quote. Matt was out the same day. Scheduled work for the next week. Came right on time and made fast work of the job with team of 3. All members of the team were professional and I would be pleased to have them do work for us again.

The work was scheduled within twenty four hours of a bid being submitted via email. The workers arrived with their equipment about fifteen minutes late, but got to work immediately and didn't stop until it was all done. It took about 90 minutes start to finish and they cleaned up after themselves with rakes and trash cans afterwards.
