"[Removed member name] didn't seem to have a problem with the design work I did for him when it was finished. I even asked him, and he said everything looked great as I told him we could change anything he wanted to be changed on the plan. I only do design, not installation, but, I do select the plants. Two-Three months after the contractor installed the landscape, [Removed member name] called and complained about a Rhododendron that was burning up in the heat. When I went to meet with him, I found the contractor had installed the wrong variety of Rhododendron, which was obviously not the one specified on plan. I spend considerable time specifying plant varieties on plan with careful attention to shun, shade, irrigation, drainage and soil. Unless contracted to manage the job, it is not my responsibility to assure the contractor installs the job correctly. [Removed member name] also complained about his beautiful columnar white pines dropping needles, but of course I can't control the natural course of healthy plants. Pines are considered low maintenance , but of coarse pine needles are natural. I'm sorry that [Removed member name] is not happy with these relatively small problems, but I am the designer, not the contractor and am not responsible if the plan is not followed or understood."
"[removed member name], Thank you for your kind review. I look forward to continuing to work with you as you develop your absolutely beautiful property. Sincerely, Jeff Naramor"
the successful completion of our job. He provided a detail design and a plan
for how we could do the job ourselves. After a few weeks of effort, it became
clear the job was too big for us. He recommended a contractor, who I hired.
Jeff managed the construction and it all turned out beautifully.
His advice and recommendations helped make our project
successful. We now have a safe play area with beautiful retaining walls. It is built
to code, properly drains and looks great. I highly recommend Jeff.
Jeff is also DIY friendly. He encouraged us to do as much of the work ourselves in order to extend our budget, but also knew some of the things we may want to consider hiring a contractor for. He produced a plan that was within our budget, timeline, and desires for the usage of the space.
Jeff was easy to work with, on time, and produced exactly what we wanted. The fee was on the high end of what we wanted to spend, but we feel we got a quality design.
