While the business owner himself is professional and responsive, it's really his tile work employee who brings this business down. While the tile looks good in the end, the prep work underneath was not done properly in our first bathroom and both worker and owner refused to correct it. The seams were not taped and sealed before tile was applied and I caught it after one wall was complete. Since we didn't want to start from scratch, we compromised on a tougher, more waterproof grout, and work continued. The tile worker shows up and leaves when he chooses without communicating, does not consult with the customer when making decisions, or when he has made a mistake like installing the wrong tile or not sealing basalt before grouting. When the owner had to leave town for an emergency, the tile worker left in charge did not show up at all the next day and did not answer calls. I wondered if they had quit altogether. My bathrooms are beautiful on the surface and I hope they last. Until the owner finds a more reliable employee, cares more about pleasing the customer, and insists on quality prep work, I doubt he will receive any repeat business.
