We moved into a new house with lots of acreage and needed the back yard fenced in for our dogs. Jack, the estimator, came over right away to give us a bid which we received in an e-mail within 24 hours of his visit. Unfortunately, even though we thought the bid was reasonable, they were so busy that we had to wait about 2 weeks for them to get started. However, while we were waiting, Jack took care of contacting the power company to find out if any of the post holes they would be digging would interfere with the power or water lines on our property. When the power company forgot to inspect a particular area, we called Jack and he took care of arranging for the power company to come back out to take care of it before Able Fence started the work. Everything went really well despite the fact that we were having a horrible heat wave and conditions for digging holes and putting up fencing must have been the worst possible. They were going to put us off another week due to their schedule, but because they knew that we desperately needed the fence for our dogs, they came out to work on our fence in between other jobs they were doing. Except for leaving a little bit of the dirt dug out for the posts, they did a terrific job. I would definitely use them again for future fencing needs.
"Able Fence Co., Inc. strives to complete all jobs on time and with the highest quality products and workmanship in the industry. We have been doing this successfully since 1997. Our business is obtained, and has continued to grow, through word of mouth, our reputation and return customers. We are saddened that we were unable to satisfy "The Member". We made every effort to make things right and complete the job with the upmost integrity. Although "The Member" feels that we were not upfront with him about always using new wood when completing a repair and/or replacement of a section of wood fence, "new" is our only option. The wet weather in the Northwest often leaves the boards too damaged to reuse and often they break when the nails are removed. We are then unable to purchase "used" boards and replace any broken boards with "new" material. The fence board's will eventually weather to match the existing fence and everything will blend, unfortunately, this was not acceptable to "The Member". Eventually, we removed "used" material from one of our employees fence lines and installed the "used" material at "The Member's" home. Ultimately, we went back to the job site a handful of times to correct any issues that "The Member" brought up. The Member was also told not to pay until he was satisfied with the work. When all was said and done, the member paid for the fencing, which told us he was satisfied with the work. In the future, we will communicate more effectively so that customers are fully aware that when repairing a weathered wood fence, new materials have to be used and the repairs will be noticeable but will weather to match the older sections over time. We wish the best to "The Member" and use this experience as a learning tool for future projects. Thank you for the opportunity to learn and improve from this project."
