A-PLUS POWER EQUIPMENT

I used A Plus in 5 Corners for a dozen years to repair and service my yard tools and they were great. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Not sure if the guy with the gray beard that ran the place retired or what but there is a p*** named Donavon running it now and he is a complete JERK. They had my mower for 5 weeks and kept telling me a few days. I called to voice my displeasure and he told me to shut up and he did not want to hear it and did not care if I was mad. I went down the next day to pick it up and go somewhere else and it was amazingly done. But the cost had gone from $150 to $290. Even though I paid it when I got p***** he again told me shut up and get out of his shop. When I got home and inspected it there is now rust all over the deck and there was none when I took it in. They must have let it sit in the rain for a month.

The carburetor needed to be cleaned and a battery needed to be replaced. The mower works great now. They are very friendly and guarantee their work.

Dropped mower off 5 weeks ago.  Was quoted 130+ tax for their standard push mower service and that it would take 2 weeks (since it is busy season).  They provide no written quote, only a "claim check".  After 2 weeks, I called and was told it was not done yet.  Showed up in person after 3 weeks, still was started yet.  (at this point, had to pay someone to mow my lawn causing additional expense due to them being late.)  Called after 4 weeks, still not done.  Finally got a call from the shop after 5 weeks stating the work was done and ready for pickup.    Arrived at the shop and was hit with a bill that was $17 higher then quoted.   They told me they had written down that they quoted $140  not $130 (I had nothing to prove otherwise since they do not provide a written quote), and that that the $140 price was only a quote and the real total was $147 plus tax.  They would not budge on the inflated price, even after being 3 weeks over the original date I was quoted.

I called Jerry on Saturday, March 10th, to see if the store was open for me to drop off my lawn mower. We set up an appointment that day and when I arrived he got the mower out of my car and he said it would be done by Thursday. I think he even does pick up and delivery. This was great compared to Sears where I bought the mower; they estimated two weeks to repair the mower (shipping to Seattle to be fixed) and estimated a higher repair cost. On Thursday, March 14 Jerry called me as planned and we decided I would pick it up on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, I was running late on Friday, but he stayed past his normal closing time so that I could pick it up. The lawn mower looked brand new; he showed me what parts he had replaced and gave me tips on how to keep it maintained myself. It even came back with a full tank of gas. It now starts right up, which is great. Thanks, Jerry.
