Several Observations:
1. The owner of the company inspected the roof before he sent the crew. He found a "flashing" around one of the chimneys that could cause problems and had it fixed. This is one of the advantages of this company being a roofing company not just a cleaning company. They maintain the roof.
2. We hadn't had the roof cleaned in about 3 years. As we live on acreage with lots of trees, it also had thick moss and winter storm debris. It is difficult to not only find a company that works on tile roofs, has spare tiles if they find damage, but one that scrapes the entire roof rather than pressure washing it which frequently voids any roofing warranties and causes leaks. They cleaned the skylights and gutters.
3. They could have saved themselves another trip by putting the zinc down when they were done, but they came another day when it was drizzling rain so that it would adhere to the tile better. Its a long way up there and I certainly would not have known the best time to apply zinc.
They were efficient, reasonably priced, pleasant to deal with & left our house/yard pristine. Hard working people. They deserved our business.
