Charles Balcom

The Appraiser, Mr. Balcom made one visit to the property, then submitted his appraisal report 2 weeks later.  The report had several glaring errors, including the wrong Property description!  We tried to contact Mr. Balcom but he would not return calls or emails.  After another 2 week wait, Mr. Balcom issued an "updated" appraisal report.  Instead of correcting the error, Mr. Balcom simple added a note saying the error was OK.  We went through this little frustrating dance 3 more times!  Yes, that means that Mr. Balcom now has issued  4 "updated" Appraisal reports based on his initial 15 minute visit.  He still has not corrected the underlying errors, and continues to explain away why he should not have to fix the report. It is clear that he knows he made a mistake, but for some reason will not correct it.  At one point, Mr. Balcom staes that he would really need to do 2 additional appraisals in order to get an accurate appraisal report of the subject properties.  No thank you, Mr. Balcom.  I've seen enough of your work to last me for a long time.
