Kitsap Errand Runner

I could not have asked for anything or anyone better. My prior cat sitting service left me in the lurch. Although I had made a reservation more than a month in advance the old service let me know the day before we were to leave that they couldn't find anyone to come in. This was only after several frantic emails and voice mails from me. i was frantic and thought I might have to cancel my trip. Luckily I found Bryan.

I called him Monday morning, and he came in a couple of hours later. It was clear from the minute he met my cats that he knows how to treat them. I learned he has had cats too for many years. He asked all the right questions and I felt comfortable that he knew exactly what to do.

While we were gone, Bryan sent me emails every day to let me know how they were doing, and he even sent pictures, some of which he posted on his website (with my permission). When I came home, I was met by two contented cats who actually weren't all that excited to see me...a clear sign they enjoyed having Bryan visit.

The best thing that Bryan did was let me go away with peace of mind. I didn't worry about my for babies, and came home to two happy cats. I will definitely call Bryan next time I need a sitter.

I have been working with Kitsap Errand Runner since April of 2011. I own 2 small businesses (cafe and coffee cart). In the past I had used one of my employees and paid them to go "errand running" and I was constantly worried about "what if they get into an accident?" The insurance on something like that would kill my small business."what if they were robbed?" Well- one of them "lost" the "grocery money" and I lost an employee. "Are they doing personal business on my time?" You betcha! It would have been easy for me to have distributors deliver, but often times they had "minimums" and you paid up to 25% more for delivered product. And they had set delivery days and times to our "neck of the woods"- that didn't work for me, So- I began running the "errands" myself- cause it seemed I was the only one I could trust to do them. This took so much time away from the parts business I needed to be working on. Sales suffered. It was also alot of physical work which wore me out too-so I had no energy to give at the middle of a workday, let alone the end, and when the cat is away, the mice play-you see where I am going with this? One more issue I had with running the "errands" myself was I spent WAY TOO MUCH. I am a women, I impulse shop.... Well I had seen the Kitsap Errand Runner logo truck out and about and town and had thought about it, but it was probably expensive, and they probably didn"t do the type of errands I needed. Then I had a medical situation that arose and I couldnt do any lifting, driving or basically "my job" for 6 weeks or possibly more. I needed help....bad. I happened to be at a social networking class and I saw that Kitsap Errand Runner truck in the lot and later I met the Kitsap Errand Runner himself, Mr. Bryan Garret. Right then and there he made an appt to come visit us the next day and explain his services. He sat with the management staff and myself and explained his different "buying time" options- easy to figure out.. This is how it works for us: my inventory manager comes in early and sends Bryan the "grocery lists" via email early in the morning. He goes to various outlets, makes the purchases, brings it in, PUTS IT AWAY, we pay him the receipts and he debits our pre-paid time. Easy. If my manager forgets something- she shoots him a text and he texts back a "roger that" and picks up that item for us. For our business he generally does the "grocery runs", but I also regularly send him to the bank to get change, make deposits, deliver lunches to clients, to Kinkos to make copies, posters, and he has occasionally had to turn a wrench or put to use "man" skills like changing lightbulbs. He takes out the cardboard and the recycling on his way out the door and we dont even ask. Even though my health has returned it has lifted such a burden off me, my business is getting stronger and I am able to focus on the bottom line, which in this economy is what is saving my business right now. It"s the little things that keep us happy with his services.He has become an asset to our team. I have to add "one more" story- usually Bryan delivers to us on Mondays and Thursdays- unknown to me, my manager made arrangements for him to deliver on Friday this week instead. I texted him (thursday) an "I need it ASAP" list and he showed up with it pronto! He happened to be in the area and went and grabbed it for me anyway.... I felt silly making him "work" on his "day off", but he just smiled and says "I am your Kitsap Errand Runner"
