She did a good job in selecting materials, but recommended lower price materials and quality than what we expected. I believe she was trying to help us save money, which was not real important to us. She also recommended a place to purchase the materials and the contractors to use. The carpet installation was a disaster. The carpet purchased was defective, we ended up in a dispute with the company that provided the carpet (Contract Furnishings Mart) and she did very little to help us resolve the dispute. We had to have another company remove the new carpet and install a replacement, then fight to get our money back (from Contract Furnishings Mart). We eventually got our money back but Stefanie did not help us resolve this process. She did a good job with helping us find a great granite installer.

This was my first experience working with a designer, and I am very glad that I did. I contacted Stephanie after consulting Angie's List, and worked with her over a period of several months. I purposely waited a few months before submitting this report, because this is a totally new kitchen, and I felt a more accurate evaluation would evolve after having actually used this space for a period of time. In conclusion, there are a few minor design elements that I would change, such as a few more larger drawers and a more accessible pull-out spice rack, but the major elements of design remain excellent. Stephanie's suggestions were sometimes very different from what I thought I wanted, but I went along with most of them and am very pleased with the result. She is pleasant, efficient and talented. There is no hesitation in recommending her.

She has tailored her services to meet my needs, listened, done shopping for me, and helped me with everything I didn't know about design (which was everything!). She is easy to work with, responsive and professional. I am very excited about what she's helped me choose and feel I will be very comfortable with the ultimate outcome.

Our house, which had been a rental for 9 years, needed a facelift. With minimal structural changes, we wanted to obtain a "new look." We didn't know where to start. Funds were not available for a full re-design with all new furniture, so we called on Stefanie to help get us find a way to change the look by coordinating some surface changes. Stefanie listened patiently while we shared some of our ideas with her, and was even more patient when we told her that the re-design would not be completed quickly, but gradually, as we had the time and money. Never having used a designer before, we really did not know what to expect, but with Stefanie we got exactly what we needed! We have been extremely happy with her choices for flooring, lighting, carpet, and paint, and the results definitely reflect a designer's input. The new tile design in the entryway draws compliments from all of our visitors. We were very specific in our contract with Stefanie, limiting the number of hours she worked on our design. The total time she spent was less than the maximum we had given (because we were so happy with her choices!), so we paid even less than we had anticipated. We'd like to think that we could have come up with such a coordinated look on our own, but it would have taken a long time, and, in the long run, would have probably cost us more. Hiring Stefanie was one of the smartest things we've done.

I was very impressed by her knowlege and she was very helpful and willing to listen to my ideas and work with me.

Bought a house that was older that needed to be remodeled and updated. I was having troubles deciding on colors, products, etc., so I started looking for someone to help me. We've been working on a spare bathroom remodel that we just completed. There were a few times when I wasn't sure about how it was going to turn out, but luckily Stefanie told me to just wait until it is all done and it will turn out. And - it did! We are now in the process of working on our master bathroom remodel.
