The price quoted is not a fixed price. He invoices for time and materials. He was on track to be 30% over budget until we had to renegotiate what we were willing to pay. Neither of us left happy. We felt over charged and he felt cheated out of what he felt he deserved.

Typically ran 30-40% over bid. Designs were generally good, but lots of detail issues. Called job done even though there were large shards and splinters on handrails and posts, large cutouts on steps that would have led to step failure. Privacy fence in back yard left large gaps between other structures and grade that defeated the purpose of keeping large dogs fenced. Argued over making job right and pressured my wife to pay for the job before we could inspect. No walkthroughs of work. They just wanted in, wanted to do it their way, wanted to make lots of money, without obligation, customer service.

We try to be fair, but like any business, we like to be paid for our time and the extra material cost associated with change orders. We have been in business since 2004 and have many valuable repeat clients, some spanning 10 + years. Our goal is to create well crafted projects and lasting relationships."

He listened to want we wanted and made suggestions. He was very creative. He took his time and did a good job. He was here when he said he would be here. He was very professional.
