Excellent plumbing work. Horrible new pricing structure for simple plumbing needs. We've used Spartan services for over 30 years back (Marv was there). Always fair pricing, great work, etc. Today we had Spartan arrive to have a toilet reset as my elderly mom who just had her floors replaced. Newer toilet, simple job and the quote/bill was over 350.00 with tax! He did offer that we find a different plumber if the quote was not acceptable. We had asked several days earlier when scheduling how much does a typical resetting of a toilet run? They said they couldn't tell us until we arrive and our plumber has a chance to look at the work. Unfortunately we have guests coming in the next few days so really had no choice. The nice plumber was there for 20 mins (900.00 hr?) He did give a 5% senior discount + 10.00 so total was 317.00 but honestly we felt taken advantage of for such a simple job and was disappointing as we have used Spartan for so long. We understand "per job pricing" but this is out of hand and honestly when booking the appointment should have a "rough ballpark" of what it typically costs to reset a toilet. We'll sadly have to find a different plumbing company for simple plumbing work going forward.

Spartan came the same day. The technician was highly professional, exceeding my expectations. That is the what professional services should be for all professional, however, it is rare to find such excellent services. I will continue to use Spartan and highly recommend them to my friends, neighbors, and family.

The service was excellent. Enrique came in less than 24 hours from our call and about 24 hours before he was scheduled. We showed him the problem and he promptly fixed it. He sent a video to the mitigator who was then able to come out and assess other damage. He also pressure tested the pipe afterwards to demonstrate that the fix was definite. Thank you Enrique!

Spartan Services, Inc. is still up to no good. They don’t follow the laws and if they aren’t caught, they will cut corners resulting in gross non-compliant work. I had to have my whole repiping job for my home redone by another company because Spartan Services, Inc. hung pipe entirely wrong, and insisted that I didn’t need an L&I permit to do any work. You do need a permit so that the work can be inspected. The company is required to purchase it. I was duped by this company, and I don’t want it to happen to anyone else. Go to the Dept. of Labor of Industries (Washington) to check this info out: [*** Link removed ***] I saw that they are still ignoring the law. My failed job was in 2018. The last infraction was in 2020. This is the only reason I posted again. People need to know that Spartan plays by their own rules to short you. SPARTAN SERVICES, INC Infraction no. They were foot coverings and cleaned the areas they worked on Very respectful to us and our property. Response time for service was excellent. The repair will soon pay for itself in lower water bills.

Enrique is extremely knowledgeable and professional and has helped saved the sale of our 1922 home by proficiently rerouting an old kitchen drain line that was not draining properly. Every promise and commitment made was fulfilled as promised. I couldn't be happier and I will only be calling Spartan from now on. The office staff is also superior. In the past I have always highly rated this company. This last time this April 2019, I had them rotor rooter and clear a line from the upstairs toilet to the mainline, about 18 inches long. They charged me nearly $450.00 to complete a less than 1 hour job. The toilet was already taken out and they didn’t need to put it back on because my handyman had already done this and was there to put the toilet back on... Apparently they do not warranty their services even a few days afterwards. I called them back within 10 12 days after having their service completed and we had another clog. They said they would charge $750 to return to clear the clog. Please do not use this service ever! They are opportunists and will use your situation of desperation for their advantage! I am so glad I didn’t have them come back the second time! And I ended up finding a much cheaper, more professional company that not only made future recommendations to prevent this AND this company also Had a warranty with their services.

Called Spartan Services to inquire for a free estimate for a clogged kitchen sink. It was great to find out that someone could be right over within a couple of hours. Craig arrived and after taking a look, he gave an estimate. He snaked the kitchen sink drain of the disposal waste blockage until it was clear as confirmed by his sewer camera. He was very efficient and cleaned up afterwards as if he never was there. He explained everything and answered all our questions prior to starting the work. Total time at the job was less than an hour. Any future plumbing jobs come up, I plan to call Spartan Services 1st.

Craig is experienced, communicates well, made sure I understood the problem. Great to work with. All of the "A"s in the six bubble ratings. I enthusiastically recommend him and Spartan.

Wonderful !! Mark knew exactly what needed to be done and refused to leave until every little issue was resolved - even where other places/people would have stopped earlier and called it “good enough”. He was polite and professional and helped me deal with warranty people who were being obstructive. If I every have plumbing issues again (Mark says I shouldn’t ?) the first place I’ll call will be Spartan Serviced and I will surely ask for Mark.

Spartan Services is a first class con-job. Their technician Jeff - {personal information removed} came out to my house, gave me a verbal estimate for a set amount and performed the work. My wife paid the bill, which I later discovered was more than the verbal estimate. Spartan Services did not provide a copy of the invoice at the time of the work. The invoice was delivered four days later. After many phone calls and emails, I spoke with Jeff. He stated that we had a verbal agreement and Washington state law allows for up to 20% variance from a verbal agreement. He also stated that my wife signed the invoice and paid it and said that would hold up in court. Jeff in particular and Spartan Services in general lacks professionalism and integrity. I would highly recommend you find another plumber.

Mark was very efficient and informative. I felt very confident having someone with 18 years of service taking care of our urgent problem. The reason price was higher than normal is that it was a Sunday call. Still completely reasonable for quality work.

Awesome, Spartan is the best! The Tech explained what was needed and how he would accomplish the task. He then did what he said what he was going to do. Honest, fair, professional, integrity ! That is what is important in any business. Spartan provides that the service they provide! I will definitely tell everyone, call Spartan for all your plumbing needs!

Spartan Services, Inc. and two plumber-trainees, Anthony (Tony) Deeter and Enrique Woodhouse have been officially cited on the L & I website for not having a licensed plumber to oversee the work at my home. They are either very dishonest (my take on it) and/or very incompetent. To make a very long story short . . . The estimator ( and principle of the company), Mason McCleary, didn't look under my home to see what the job entailed. Gave me a quote. I accepted, thinking he knew his business. Two guys did the repipe job. I paid them in full, on the spot, with my credit card. I gave them chocolates. They left. I had insulators come out to bid on insulating the new pipe. They said they couldn't do the work because the pipe was hung out of compliance in a big way. That's when I found out That Spartan Services, Inc. was to have pulled a permit with the Washington State Dept. of Labor and Industries so that an inspection could take place. When I informed Spartan Services, Inc. of this revelation, they denied needing one, which was a big fat lie. This company has been in business long enough to know the laws and codes. They could have checked on this permit requirement when I informed them. They chose to deny it, and they got quite testy with me. So, in order to get the inspection, I pulled the permit ($202.50). The work was inspected. L&I found nine code infractions at first glance. L&I told Spartan Services, Inc. that it was going to start fining them if they didn't pull a permit. Only then did Spartan Services, Inc. pulled a permit. These are just a few examples of their illicit work: Spartan Services, Inc. attached a long run of pipe under my porch which isn't attached to my home (completely illegal and exposed to the elements). The pipe is to be hung under my home and everyone knows that. They hung pipe under my home, too low, so insulation and rodent barrier couldn't be installed. They tied new pipe to existing old pipe, multiple times, when the invoice shows that I paid to have all old pipe removed and replaced with new pipe. They attached new pipe to lumber under my home that is not attached to anything! There is new pipe strung in front, and against my hot water tank, so that I can't put an insulating blanket over it and the pipe is completely in the way if I need to replace the tank. L & I took lots of pictures. After the inspection (which they weren't counting on), Spartan Services, Inc. wanted me to pay more money to bring the repipe job up to compliance. I refused because I had already paid for a compliant job. The estimator chose not to evaluate the work before giving me a quote. Spartan Services, Inc. chose not to pull the permit when I informed them that they need one. Spartan Services, Inc. chose not to use a licensed plumber. They chose to installed the pipe incorrectly. Took my money. Was caught by L&I. Then, wants more money? When I realized these people were dishonest on so many levels, (and I fully believe the crap work they did was not innocent mistakes. They were taking advantage of a senior citizen), I had the full payment disputed with my credit card company. Spartan Services, Inc. did not contest the dispute. I thought I was stuck working with this creepy business, so I said I would pay them when the job passed inspection. Instead, Spartan Services, Inc. walked away from the job, with no money. Washington State Dept. of Labor and Industries couldn't fine them for all the code infractions because they walked away. Spartan Services, Inc. was only fined for not having a licensed plumber on the job. I think they got off lightly. But, at least, it's on the L&I website, for those who want to check it out. I can back up everything I have explained in this review.

Justin was professional and knowledgable about our leaking shower. He was able to repair our shower quickly and went the extra mile to make sure that I was happy with both the solution and the cost. (The previous plumber did not know how to fix it, and so the drippy problem was still driving us crazy.)
