Not well. I've never written a review before, but in this case I felt it was very important that I did. I'm a professional and I stand by my word and I expected Robert,the owner, to stand by his word. Robert was very nice,professional, and easy to deal with when I was getting bids to get my project done. He was doing everything and saying all the right things he could to get the job. He even cut his original price down when I asked if he could come down a little on his quote. The project(in Nov.,2016) was grading an existing gravel road about 1 mile long and cleaning out the ditches and culverts alongside the road and cutting overhanging brush/trees. He said he would make sure the project would get done in a timely and professional manner and to my satisfaction and if there were any problems/issues that he would make sure to come back and correct those issues. He said, "he guarantees his work." Within a few days after he completed the work, I called him to let him know that there were issues that needed to be corrected such as part of the road now was like a "washboard" and had some potholes that never existed-this section of the road didn't even need to be graded, and he graded it down to the spalls(sp?), which made the road worse. He never put down all of the gravel that was ordered; when asked if he would use a compactor, he said that his machinery was very heavy and that it would compact the gravel-he brought out lighter equipment and it never compacted the gravel; he assured me when he ditched out a certain area that he would not dump that material over a sensitive bank on the other side of the road, but he did and it made a mess and it knocked over some smaller trees and several rose bushes and blocked a culvert below; he never ditched out a hundred foot section of the road ditch, which caused 2 canals of water running down the road during the winter. After several calls to him within the first 2 weeks after he completed the job, he said, "it wasn't a good time of the year to come out and April would be a better time for him to come out to correct the problem. Well, he never called me and never came out. I called him at least 6 other times after April for him to come out and he finally came out on 9/2 and said, "he was NOT going to correct any of those issues. I would never recommend using Robert and RL Consulting Construction because he is not a man of his word.
