The chimney continues to leak into our kitchen unless it is covered completely by a tarp. All the work done by this contractor did not fix the leak and the chimney continues to leak today. I am looking for a new contractor.

I contacted this company and was immediately impressed by their professionalism. They build fireplaces and chimneys, as well as chimney cleaning--the works! The owner came to my house, gave me a rundown of the problems and an estimate. They came out in a couple of weeks and fixed it in two days. They also made us a new copper cover for this very large chimney. The men cleaned up the site immediately.

Horrible experience. Company is CSIA certified. Found out later all workers need to pass certification and otherwise should not be left alone to work. His worker failed the test twice but Mike left him at my home anyway to go bid another job. I checked on the work and found a room full of soot billowing out of the fireplace. The worker had forgotten to close the damper after Mike inspected the chimney! I yelled at him to stop. He replied he was done and downplayed by telling me I had a loose brick at the crown! Mike said they did nothing wrong and told us to call our insurance company. Our insurance would not cover the damage (faulty workmanship) and his insurance did not cover for "dusting" a house. Imagine insufficient insurance that doesn't cover this kind of damage. We had to hire a special cleaning company to clean up the dust and he still would not pay for the cleanup. We ended up suing him in court and won. My advice: Stay away from this unethical man.

THE WORK WAS DONE PROMPTLY AND AT THE SCHEDULED TIME. THE COMPANY WERE PROFESSIONAL TO DEAL WITH. WE HAVE HAD NO TROUBLE SINCE AND THE QUALITY OF THE JOB APPEARS TO BE FINE.
