The sales part was great and the price was reasonable. After I signed the contract and they were supposed to come out and do the measuring and templates, they were six hours late. They were eight hours late when they came out to install. They just put the last piece of counter top on and it is five inches too wide from what the measurements were supposed to be. They came out with a granite saw and tried to fix it and did restore it to the right dimensions and it is actually a pretty good shape, but they never polished the new finish. They were four hours late when they came to the cutting and repair and the equipment gouged my hardwood floors in several places. I have granite dust in every nook and cranny of this house. The installation is finally done and they put a sealer on the counter top which is part of the contract. I put a wet rag on it the next day and found water soaking into it and this is not supposed to happen. I called them up and tried to get them to come out to do a good sealing job but they wouldn't come out. They promised to come out but didn't show up and this happened three different times. I am taking time off from work for all this. Finally, I called the salesman, who was a nice guy, and he said that it was just one of those days and they are on their way. That didn't work either and he asked me whether he could come and do the work himself. He came out and I even helped him and we did the job, but it is still not sealed. I called the manufacturer and told them the name of the sealant and they said that it was not meant for granite but for terracotta. Now my granite counter tops have soaked in a product that is meant for clay pots and doesn't do the job. I called a granite restoration company to come out and give me an assessment. They told me that they could strip the stuff off and put the right stuff on for $550. I wrote to the company a second time and there was no response. I wrote to the Better Business Bureau and they closed the case since there was no response from the business. I guess that they have posted my complaint. I had already paid the company $1,550 as a down payment for the job and they demanded a check for the final payment as they were leaving. I told them that I didn't have a check on this account and would pay them by credit card. They called up somebody and took my credit card information. I called the sales guy and he told me to put the amount though my credit card. That turned out to be a good deal because I disputed the sum of $2,045 with my credit card company. I had all the stuff listed and itemized along with the invoices from the granite restoration company and the statement from the product manufacturer stating that the sealant was not meant for granite. I had such a tight case on this thing that they didn’t even reply and I got my $2,045 back. It has now been resolved and I have the counter tops. I stripped the thing myself with my son and it cost me $50 per product to do that. I am looking around for the sealant and that will cost me about $300 to fix. That is my story and all I can say to people is that don't ever use those people because everything goes wrong as soon as you sign the contract.
