Due to the way these were built, many changes were required to get the cabinets to fit, to look good, and to work for us. We did our own installation, and have experience with well-built cabinets. These do not qualify as well built, although they look good in the photos. And gone to the show room to see the actual construction. We will have to make more modifications in the future (like make three drawers where there are now two, something a good kitchen designer would have known to do.) For example, we "assumed" they would be built with face frames, but he uses a frame less design, which allows for bigger drawers but does not give the old style that we wanted for our 1911 Craftsman house. This was not made clear in the design process. The kitchen is done, and the cabinets look nice but that's due mostly to our hard work to cover things up. To make up for his poor start, he did a few nice things at the end, like making a fan hood and finished extra material for crown molding.
