Once the contract is signed John disappears. warrenty service is non-existent. The man will promise a sorts of stuff, but once you sign he is gone and un reachable. When I called about the latest workmanship issue he said I had not written a testimonial for him. Here it is!

Siding Service, Exterior Painting
Saw this amazing liquid vinyl exterior covererage presented by John of Elite exteriors at the home show in 2010 and 2011. Decided to get an estimate and this process was fine. After agreeing to work with John, our experience went downhill quickly.
Very poor communication as project started. We had agreed on a structure for payment at different stages of work. We had generally little to no notice of when workers would arrive and often when they did show up, they would all the sudden ask for a large payment that was not often part of the agreed plan, and again no comminication from John after sale was made.
After trying to reach out to John with concerns about work performed, he would not reply and when reached and explained concern he was "too far" to make a trip out. (45 min to an hour). After having given his workers a check for $5k, which was $3k over original agreement and still getting horrible work, I cancelled the check and finally John was willing to come out. After a walk through with him and painters to discuss failed performance, I was guaranteed that these items would be taken care of. I re wrote the check (worst mistake, too trusting I guess), and workers came back out and finished, but not with all items complete. (overspray issues and bubbling paint)
Also John was going to throw in gutter product, which did not happen, as he had decided it was not a good product by the time he did our job as well as some faux cedar shake for front of house. (did get shake after a good hassle)
This year the CHIC rep came down and explained that they had a bad batch which has failed on one side of our house to date and he is covering siding replacement and an additional coating on whole house. Work is half way done at this point, and I've still not heard from John at all.
