Dependable Electric LLC provides electrical solutions for residential and light (small) commercial customers to include troubleshooting, new construction, remodels, and/or additions. We also install EV chargers. (No job is too small.) I strive to serve my customers with integrity and to provide high quality, correct, and honest electrical work. My goal is to get it done right the first time, every time. Payment options include cash, check and major credit cards.

The job went well. They took apart the circuit, found the problem right away and corrected it. They also carefully put the circuit together. I was satisfied with the work that was done.

Paul responded within minutes of my post, and was upfront with his costs. He also mentioned that he'd recently had shoulder surgery, and warned me that if the job caused him too much discomfort that me might have to stop. I was totally fine with that. He arrived on time and got right to work after taking time to explain his contract. The fixture looks and works great! I liked how he also sent me an electronic copy of his bill, as well. This was helpful because my insurance company was paying for this, so it made it easy to forward it on to them. Overall, I was very pleased! I have never had any electrical jobs done, so I don't know what a "good" cost for this kind of thing is. He was here for 1.5 hours, and the bill came (with tax) to just under $300. This is roughly $200/hr. However, like I said, I didn't care about costs because I wasn't paying for it, lol. He charges an upfront $89 to show up, then there is a $100/hr cost after that, which is prorated after the first hour. So, if your job is a small one that will take an hour or less, plan on paying $189+ tax, (then $100/hr prorated for any time after). I would have to do some price-comparisons in the future to see how he ranks as far as that goes, but costs aside, I would definitely hire him again and would recommend him to my friends. Paul was fantastic to work with. We bought a 1970’s home that had been fully remodeled in 2010 and unfortunately the HVAC went out 8 months later. After we had our HVAC replaced, the heated floors stopped working. The HVAC electrician came back out to see if they’d done something to indirectly cause this issue, and after pulling the heated floor relay off the wall, discovered the wiring wasn’t up to code (and could have started a fire at any time since it’s installation 7 years ago.) I contacted Paul from Dependable Electric via email with a description of our problem, some photos, and information on the make/model of our two heated floor thermostats and relay. He researched the equipment and consulted with me over the phone. He suggested replacing the hardware, but was up front that he wouldn’t know if that was the issue, or the full scope of the issue, until he saw it in person for himself. An in-person consultation cost money, so I chose to schedule him to come out for a repair and purchased the $350 replacement thermostats/relay myself (they were returnable), and had them on hand when Paul came in mid Dec. 2017. It turned out the hardware did need replacing (the old ones had lasted much longer than typical). Paul called the thermostat/relay manufacturer several times to ask clarifying questions about the product to make sure he did everything correctly. Unexpected issues arose as well once he had a look behind the scenes, so to speak, included fixing the wiring (had to cut open a small bit of drywall to get to it) and electrical panel circuit work due to it not being completed to manufacturer specs for the amount of heated floor we have when originally installed. He was straightforward about the issues, the costs, came prepared, and was very efficient. Paul was able to finish everything in one day even though the job doubled in scope once we discovered the less obvious issues. He explained all possible options, outcomes, and cost impacts as we went along, and arranged to have the inspector come out within the next 1-2 weeks. No issues were identified by the inspector, the permit was issued, and no further repairs have been required. I was home all day during the repair and my husband met Paul as he was wrapping things up at the end of the day. My husband works in commercial construction (estimator), and was very satisfied with Paul’s knowledge, thoroughness, and straightforwardness when Paul brought him up to speed on everything that had been done. I would definitely call Paul again, or refer to him to a friend. More telling, is that my hard-to-impress husband would also call Paul up again if/when we need an electrician in the future.

Work was done in 6.25 hours. Paul was fantastic. He explained everything that he discovered and what he was going to do to fix the issues and if appropriate what options were available to tackle the problems. He was very professional and did a great job. He cleaned up after himself and handled everything in a a reasonable amount of time at a fair price. This was one of the best experiences I've had with an electrician and I will definitely call him again for any electrical work.

They were fantastic. They did work a few weeks ago, and it was absolutely amazing. Very best contract I have ever had, compared to electrical. He was very professional, and said what he was going to do. It was a very great experience. I liked everything. He was prompt. He contacted me initially. I called and emailed five different contractors, and I only heard back from two, and he was one of them. That was important to me. He did exactly what he said he was going to do.

It was good experience. He did a nice job. There was one task he didn't want to take on, and that was alright. He did everything that he felt in doing. The price was very modest. I have no idea what the compare pricing would be. Quality is good.

I was very pleased with my service call. The owner was meticulous and patient. I had a couple of outdoor fixtures that needed repairing and a "mystery" electrical problem in my garage. After fixing the issue, which turned out to be my husband replacing a plug with the wrong type, he then went over the garage to check that there were no further hidden issues. I will most definitely be calling him again when I need to tackle the major rewire of my home.

Paul was a great help as I wanted some lights outside my new home. He did a wonderful job, explaining problems and fixing some other items for me. I would hire him again for any job. He knows what he is doing and does it by the book, permits and all.

Owner Paul Spinosa is an outstanding electrician! Although the earliest he was able to schedule our job was November 23rd, Paul called us when he had a cancellation this morning, and was able to complete the work in no more than 3 hours. Paul is straightforward, friendly, and clearly knows his stuff. He discussed various options and decisions in layman's terms, making it easy to chart our course. Paul works quickly and efficiently, yet he took great care to do everything correctly and in a quality fashion. The result was a fully functioning fireplace insert, with all wiring professionally done, and everything cleaned up immaculately. Paul handled the necessary permitting as well. We'd hire Paul Spinosa and Dependable Electric LLC again in a heartbeat!

Paul was incredibly responsive and helpful. I had sent him an email about my project and responded with feedback right away. He happened to be working on a Saturday and mentioned he'd be willing to come by, check out my job and perform the work that day...all without an appointment! Then, on his way over, he swung by the supplier to pick up the parts needed for the job without question.
When he arrived, I had one "need done" and two "nice-to-haves". He knocked out the "need to have" in no time, and quickly turned his attention to the other efforts. When he ran into a complication with an unexpected stud in the wall, he explained his options, gave me a time estimate and went ahead with the work with no complaints. All the while he very professionally handled my non-stop questions and inquiries. Near the end, I came up with one final very small effort, and he executed it without hesitation.
Paul's work was great, he's extremely friendly and was willing to handle everything I kept throwing at him. I will certainly be hiring him again for some future work, and would encourage anyone looking for electrical work to give him a shot.
