The crew came and went right to work hand brushing our 26 unit condo. They pointed out cracked dryer vents, fixed them with sealer. Fixed areas where downspouts weren't draining properly. We are very satisfied with their work and David was very professional and great to work with. They noticed an area where our roof was sagging and were able to repair that as well.

Two guys came out and were able to get almost everything done in a couple of hours. They came back later in the week to finish cleaning up and spraying off the outside of the gutters because we had called to see why they had left such a mess. After talking to David, he had them come back out to get everything looking nice again.

Very personable. Looked at everything and did what he said he'd do and came when he said he'd come. If he couldn't he would phone he would get in touch and explain the situation. Everything seems to be working out just fine.

We had some damage to our middle-aged roof in the last large storm and were scrambling to find someone who could come out and patch up the missing shingles.  We came across David on Angie's List and gave him a call (along with many other providers).  Most of the roofers we spoke to were busy enough with large new roofing projects to not be interested in something as small as our repair.  David, on the other hand, was responsive and offered to try to fit us in.  We first spoke on Friday and he was out Monday morning to fix our roof.  Over the weekend, we exchanged email with information and photos to ensure he had everything he needed to complete the repair.

 

David arrived within 30 minutes of the time he said he would be there and had the work done within two hours.  He not only repaired the agreed upon work, he fixed a few other minor items without changing his estimate.  He was very informative and transparent.  I would (and will) work with him again.

I have to say these guys were spot on and delightful. Great sense of humor and work ethic. Arrived on time for initial meeting and estimate, and arrived on time for the set date of cleaning. They were tidy, sensitive to plantings, and worked quietly (no blaring boom boxes) I will recommend them anytime and use them again for any future roofing projects I have.  All roofs look fantastic!

This was the first time I used David's Roof Cleaning and Repair LLC and I was very pleased with his service. I had a hard time connecting with him because of his customer base. It was difficult for him to follow through, I'm not sure if it was from some of his crew members getting sick or what. When he did come he did a very good job and I've been very pleased. I think some of the rates are pretty high compared to what I've had to pay in the past, but that's nothing new. I was charged an extra $100 for the moss killer that he put up there, I thought that was a little steep, but I still don't have moss on my roof, which is good. As far as his work and what he did I think it was fair. He did a very good job of cleaning the roof. He cleaned up after himself, very neat and clean. He was a very pleasant person. He did it all himself. I would like to have him back.

I live in a condominium and I am kind of a go between between the manager and them.  They always come up with a solution to fix things.  They always do a great job.

David and his crew did a wonderful job with the repair and cleaning, and went beyond our expectations on some of the clean-up such as removing old vines from the power lines coming into the house. What really impressed us was David's communication. He had a couple of false starts due to problems out of his control, but he ALWAYS called with a status and updated start dates. Getting a contractor to show up for a bid seems to be a challenge these days, so David was a breath of fresh air.

It was a very professional company and they fulfilled the entire scope of their work. I have nothing but praise.

It'd been years since we had our roof cleaned and it was heavy with moss and tree debris.  There were even ferns growing on the upper roof that isn't clearly visible from the ground.  David arrived with his posse and they got to work early Thursday morning. They put down tarps all around the house (2700 foot house so that was a lot of tarps) and proceeded to hand-clean all the moss and junk off the roof.  The mess was unbelievable as there was so much stuff up there.  Amazingly, when they left, the yard and deck were cleaner than when they arrived!  They spent the entire day hand-cleaning then low-pressure washing the roof.  The next morning David returned to treat the roof to prevent moss from regrowing
            It was an all-around positive experience and I have every intention of using David's company for any and all roof maintenance in the future.  I can't recommend him enough.

My house is a 1700 Sq. Ft. Craftsman with steep roof pitches and several valleys due to dormers front and back, and although we could not afford to put a new roof on at the same time we painted, we wanted it to look as nice as possible, and hoped David could remove some of the staining from a lichen or moss which caused the roof to turn black in areas of heavy water runoff.
When David came out to the house, within minutes I thought he was a nice guy who had no trouble talking to people.  While working up my estimate, he shared stories about his family, about his child with Cystic Fibrosis, and about his work.  I thought it was apt he told a story of working on new housing developments with a large crew, and having many men standing on rooftops washing them down together, and having it appear to those passing by on the ground that the circus had come to town.  It is a bit like having the Stiltwalker come to your property to have David arrive, he quickly goes up a ladder, he is on your roof, walking about inspecting it, all while still having a conversation with you below... David is a real showman personality, he is spry and agile, and gregarious, too.
My house is over a hundred years old and the roof has not been touched in the 15 years we've been here, and wasn't new when we arrived   I expressed my hope to gently have my old roof cleaned, as I was fearful some "Yahoo" with a high pressure wand would blow water up under my roof shingles, or do damage to my ancient douglas fir siding.  David explained for this type of job, low pressure water and hand scrubbing wiith wire brushes was the way to go.  He assured me he would not damage my house, and that he had plenty of experience with gentle roof cleaning, so he could be confident I would be happy.
David also took the time to put a ladder on my garage and walk its roof, which is too dilapidated to be cleaned and must be reroofed.  He kindly inspected my garage roof decking for me, and gave me a general price range a roofer is likely to charge for that work.
Although his bid to clean my roof was $100 higher than the lowest bidder, I went with David for his knowledge base, on the condition that he himself worked the jobsite with his crew, and oversee the job himself, which he agreed to do.  David identified an area of my roof where the plywood decking underneath the shingles had popped up due to a valley directing all the waterflow through that area over the years and he worked that repair into the bid, along with a few shingles here and there that needed replacing.  David identified that the nails used to install my roof vents were not gasketed, which will allow water to work its way in over time, so he replaced all of them for me as well.  David promised they would clean behind themselves as they left, including cleaning the gutters.
They arrived on time, David and a crew of several thin young men who scurried up onto the roof and began cleaning and hammering.  I beleive it was about 4 hours they were on the property that morning, and when they finished, they had taken their piles of moss wads and all the crud washed off the roof with them in tarps.  They also laid a white powder on my roof to treat the discoloration and discourage the growth of mosses.
The good result:  David did a great job of not damaging the roof, and infact repairing the decking to prevent damage in future.  The cleaning was thorough, and the neighbors commented that they thought we got a new roof, so who could ask for anything more !?!
The things that could have been better:   One of the shingles that was replaced on the back side of our house near the peak has since come loose, and is hanging by a single nail.  It is very noticeable because it was not a good color match to begin with, and I will need to have that put back right before the rains come.  Also, I guess the timing of my roof cleaning was not great, as they laid down the white powder, and within 24 hours we had a torrential downpour that wiped it all out, as though it had never been treated, when he actually had treated it heavily, because my roof's black staining sure needs it.  Because of this, although no fault of David's, I have spent the time since the roof cleaning looking at those stains and being disgruntled.  I guess writing this review has shown me I need to call David and see if he can come out and do those few things this summer.
All said, I am VERY happy I went with David and have no horror stories to report, as my old house would be a prime candidate for one.  I would reccomend you trust David to tell you how it really is, to do what it will take to make your roof happy, and keep you snug and dry. Let the Circus come to your neighborhood, walk your rooflines and make things spiffy again!

Nice young man; good crew; very satisfied.

I had a problem with a woodpecker and they managed to stop the woodpecker without harming it.  They put up flashy aluminum strips that chased the woodpecker away.  I liked David, the quality of his work was excellent.

They were really good!  They were just clean and prompt.  When they were here, they cleaned up their mess and they were gone when they were done with it. 

I had contacted another provider to clean our roof  (someone we had used previously to clean our windows) and they referred us to David (the other provider didn't want to do the job because they thought our roof was too steep and the job was too dangerous). David came out and met with me to assess our needs; climbed up on our roof and looked around at everything (it wasn't too steep for him!); pointed out a couple of issues that should be addressed; and told me that they could do the job, no problem at all. David is the Crocodile Hunter re-incarnate (seriously - he reminded me of Steve Irwin) - willing and able to tackle any roofing job/issue, in any weather -and with the great personality of the Crocodile Hunter! I was not in town on the first day that the work was done (it was done over a 2-day period), but David kept in touch by phone and even sent me a text picture of the work in-progress. David was hands-on, on-site, working alongside of his crew while the job was being done - something you do not often see, and which I find impressive. They did everything we asked for, and even added an extra shield-piece free-of-charge (I do not remember what the technical term for the piece was) along the side of the house to protect our stucco. I would highly recommend David's company to anyone needing any type of roofing repair or cleaning - they went above and beyond, and had a great attitude while doing it!

David was friendly and knowledgable, showed up on time to look at the problem and make his recommendations. Then he scheduled the job and finished the work as agreed. Overall great experience! Many other neighbors have also used his service and have been very happy with the results. I've heard no complaints.

David and his crew are knowledgable, thorough, and very conscientious. We have engaged their services several times over the past 12 years and have always been extremely pleased with the quality of their work. David is very responsive, and arrived on short notice to secure a tarp on the roof until he could inspect it in daylight. He and his crew are very pleasant to deal with and ensure that the job site looks better when they leave than it did when they arrived. David is the Go-To Guy for roof issues.
