It went really well. There were a lot of permits that we had to get, and any delays that happened were caused by the county and the permit process. They did a great job. We got a new house, and I told them I wanted it to look like it had been a part of the house. They did a great job! It looks like it's always been there

Worker randomly showed up without calling ahead. Person did not have a ladder (imagine needing that to look at a roof) or even business cards in an unbranded truck. Looked at roof, but didn't bother looking under tarp, instead seemed to be more interested in using fear on an unrelated part of the roof. Felt really sketchy so asked for him to set up appointment for more interior inspection work. Never heard another word

supposed to take one week. Took over a month and a half. Had to continually call to get workers back out to the house. Had multiple water leaks that had to be fixed. Had to have the owner out to fix upside down electrical outlet that was also broken. Finish work was horrible. Had to be redone multiple times until acceptable. Would not hire them ever again.

Ampro put water barriers under the roof edge and the channels for the peaks of the roof, then heightened the edging so water would flow properly to the down spouts. Again we were pleased with their attention to detail and meeting our specific needs, making suggestions as we progressed through the project.

Very well! There were a few hiccups, but nothing unexpected. Even when we did need a minor rework on some trim they came out ASAP and had it done in one day (and in the rain too!)

Scott and Leo came out and discussed expectations of our project, offering suggestions as we progressed through the inspection. A few days later we were presented with a workorder (contract) that seemed a bit vague but we were assured that our needs would be met and a date was set to begin, weather permitting. A workorder was emailed with some changes we had requested. The roofing crew showed up on the appointed day but seemed disorganized and unsure of what was to take place. We were disappointed that Scott or Leo was not there to initiate the project and to provide us with confidence that such a big undertaking was under control. It was also drizzling that day and I was informed the crew was leaving before much of anything was started. We received apologies from both Scott and Leo for not being there at the onset and they explained the weather concerns. The next day the crew showed up with Scott and Leo who manned the project from that point on and were in constant contact with us. Some unforeseen damages became evident as the shingles and chimney were removed, primarily due to the previous shingles being put on over the plywood with no underlayment. Several other issues arose as the project continued but were substantiated with thorough explanations and we were given the option to do it cheaply or do it correctly. We sincerely appreciate the quality of workmanship and the work ethic of the crew. Though Ampro did not have the polish of some other roofing sales personnel from which we received estimates, we feel we have an excellent and most definitely a properly installed roof. We would recommend Ampro.

I am not happy with them. There was a windstorm, and there was about a dozen shingles that had blown off. I asked them what it would cost to put the shingles back on. When he called me back, he told me that my entire roof needed to be replaced. He said that the people put it up they did an extremely bad job. He said it would cost several thousand dollars. I had two other companies look at the job and niether one saw any problems besides the tiles that had blown off. I contracted with one of them to fix the tiles and tighten a gutter. I had a feeling that they were trying to scam me into putting on a whole new roof when I didn't need it. I was able to get ahold of them and they came out within two days to check it out. I wouldn't recommend them.

"We responded immediately to member's request and visited his rental home with our complete crew that day. We performed an on the roof inspection and found the following: Shingles were blown off and missing. Felt paper underlayment was torn and pieces flapping in the wind. The roofing shingles themselves were detaching or not attached over most of the roof area and were in the process of blowing off. The wind storm that had caused the damage was not one of our monumental storms. The roofing job appeared to have been installed by amateurs. Flashings were not correctly installed and valleys were not correctly roofed. Roofing had been installed over rotten decking. We are an GAF Factory Certified Roofing Contractor and we do perform repairs and new roofing installation to the GAF rigid factory specifications. In cases where the roof is failing due to poor workmanship we retain the right to refuse to attempt a repair. We can not take on the liability for a roof which is so poorly installed that the shingles are falling off without a storm. We did offer a solution to correct the failed roofing. The professional solution in this case was to tear off the roof and start over, correcting the rotted sheathing and attaching the new roofing system to a solid foundation or substrate. It is patently unfair to rate Ampro an F for not performing a quick and cheap repair on a failing and poorly installed roof. The roof will continue to leak and it will continue to need repair. We simply have higher standards than to get involved in a sure fire on going repair mess and probable situation that can never be repaired. The question we have for this member is why didn't he call the roofing company that installed this roof? If this is a repairable roof what happened with the company's guarantee? Is this roof really a possible bootleg job? We appreciate the fact that the member claims to have found a roofer willing to repair his roof. We politely decline. The roof is not repairable in our opinion. As for the supposition that we were only out to sell a new roofing job: The member called several competitive roofing companies. He had the right and ability to accept or reject any company's offer. We do not charge for professional inspections. He chose the cheaper route. Why not be happy and enjoy the good fortune instead of trashing our company? Member, you still need to tear off your incorrectly installed roofing and you need to re-roof. We are in the Seattle area. We started on a sunny Saturday morning, and the job was 80 percent done, and the remainder was completed the following day. Owner was on site for much of the installation. Roof looks great, and if we have to sell tomorrow, I have no worries with a GAF/ELK warranty, which has been documented.
