Oleg took care of everything; he is very efficient and transformed my ugly duckling floors full of cracks and holes into silky smooth hardwoods the envy of my family and friends. I could not be more pleased with my choice to work with him. I did get other estimates, and Oleg stands above the crowd for professionalism, responsiveness, price point, and desire to land the job. We would absolutely recommend him, and work with him again.

This was a complete kitchen/dining room remodel where walls were removed, the original floors were torn up and the area was gutted and rebuilt.
Oleg was responsive, professional and took great pains to install this floor perfectly. We had to wait for other contractors to complete their jobs before Oleg could move on to his next process. In some cases, the other contractors were not nearly as prompt or reliable as Oleg, so when they told me they would be done in two or three weeks, in fact it took more like six or eight weeks. Oleg was right there when I called him to tell him we were finally ready for his next step. Although he never made mention of a and quot;dustlessand quot; process (as others had made a big deal about), he is as dustless as you could possibly be utilizing multiple vacuum systems with his sanding/finishing process.
He is a hard worker who knows his craft, performs professionally and is polite and easy to deal with.

Oleg was fantastic, he did exactly what we wanted and did what he said he'd do. The total flooring was approx 960 sq. ft. We had him use the Swedish finish and the results are superb. I definitely would use him again and recommend him without reservations. On top of all that he's a nice guy.

We were extremely happy with Oleg’s work at our home. Our 1920’s house had hardwood floors that were in bad need of refinishing. Oleg did a beautiful job refinishing and staining and repairing some of the subfloor. In one room Oleg inlaid new hardwoods and stained it to match the existing… He’s a true artist and craftsman. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him for any hardwood or laminate job.

They were very prompt, and did good work. I had called him on a Friday and asked them how soon they could come out, he came out on the following Monday, finished the whole house in a few days.

Absolutely magnificent work. The oak floor in this home, which is 90 years old, was in pretty rough shape. Oleg not only re-finished the floor to the point that it looks new - it is now stunning - but he repaired an area around the front door where oak pieces had pushed up. What impressed me the most was the fact that when I asked him how much he wanted up front, he deferred, advising that he would accept payment after he was done, and I could evaluate his work. I would recommend him without reservation.

Overall an excellent stress free experience. We had originally planed the project a year and a half ago but had to postpone it due to unforseen priorities. We had three other estimates besides Oleg the first time and contacted him this time around. His estimates were slightly increased from the one given a year and half ago but that was expected. Oleg kept in touch and was on schedule to start the work. He completed the work on time and under estimate. The work is of excellent quality. The new installed and refinished flooring looks the same as if it was all new done at the same time. The house was left clean and virtually dust free. I will recommend Oleg to my friends and family and of course any one looking to do a hardwood project..

We got three bids for the job. Not only was Oleg's the most competitive, he was the only one who brought along a portfolio of pictures of previous jobs. The portfolio was what really sold me. We scheduled them for work starting 2 or 3 weeks out.

The team was excellent to work with. Very polite and showed up on schedule, which was important do to the tight deadlines we were running with the project. When I told them we'd had a change of schedule and that the movers would be dropping off all the boxes from our previous home sooner than expected, Oleg brought in an additional guy and worked longer hours to get the job done for us. They were really outstanding and handled this situation professionally. Never complaining about the pressures coming from our end. We were lucky to work with them.

The situation was that we had a flood which required the hardwood oak floors to be resurfaced. Since this was a big deal in terms of time needed to complete, 5 days out of the house, we also decided to get the remaining floor matched and done, which worked out well. You cant tell the new from the old, it all looks new.

Never having done this we used Angies List to select top 3 . We got quotes from all of them. Oleg was the most competitive. What also impressed us was Olegs portfolio of work done which showed he knew what he was doing.

For those embarking on this anticipate

  1. You are likely to need new base boards, it unlikley they will survive the necessary removal, think about painting them before getting them installed.
  2. The fumes will require you out of the house at least 24 hours after the final application (we had X3). Anticipate smell, but it does clear after a day of two
  3. Restaining a newer color works, we went for and quot;rosewoodand quot; and it bought the color and grain up magnificently. When checking your colors, get Oleg samples and lay them in the room against you wall to see if it complements. We bounced between 3 colors.

All in all the job went well, Oleg worked with us to throughout the process. We checked in a couple of times to see the process and were impressed with how they had masked up the house.

good - but 5 days later they still haven't been by to pick up the sacks of garbage on our porch. Also, the varnish was really strong smelling - it was fortunate we still had our old apt. to stay in since they didn't give us warning that the stuff was incredibly potent.

Excellent work, excellent price, very cooperative and good with suggestions. Oleg also did family home of 800 sf. where he laid oak hardwood floors, including stain and sealing. Overall great experience, both personally and professionally.

Oleg's bid came in a third below the next lowest bid. Basically, he charged for 3 coats of natural swedish finish what the other guys charged for 2 coats. I was skeptical at first, but after a couple more conversations it was clear he was just eager for my business. The original plan was just to sand and refinish the floors. After sanding, however, it became evident that a few areas were simply too damaged ever to look good, so he told me he would have to replace the planks. I really appreciated that he simply charged me for labor and I purchased the materials. Just as he was finishing the repairs, we decided to take out a wall and continue the hardwoods into the kitchen. This involved removing stubborn old linoleum-covered ply wood, moving appliances and cutting holes for heat registers. Again, i purchased the materials by phone, he picked up the planks and only charged me for labor. My only complaint about the whole process was that he didn't reinstall the doors, dishwasher or stove. I didn't specify that I wanted him to replace them, but says he would have if I had asked. That's why I gave him a 'B' on professionalism...I thought he should have replaced them as part of the project. Not a huge deal for me, but just be sure to specify that you'd like him to replace everything he takes out. The floors look incredible...he did a perfect job.
