All-Ways Air Control

They didn't do a full AC installation. They just installed the AC unit. The service man Patrick was awesome. There were some delays due to other installations, but he kept us in the loop. The price was reasonable. They only installed the AC unit and plumbed it in. They didn't have to do anything but put the unit in and plug it in. It was mainly the cost of the unit. I would use them again in the future.

We decided to get a proposal from this contractor because they had installed all of the original furnaces and a number of air conditioners in our development. We had used them for service and they did an excellent job, they are a local contractor close to our house and they have and Angie’s List A rating. The proposal was not very extensive, but included a price for the project plus tax and permit cost with payment due on completion. We scheduled the installation for three weeks out and I asked if there was anything else I needed to do. The scheduler said no, they would contact the HVAC Specialist who provided the proposal and they would take care of everything. The installation went smoothly. It took about 4-1/2 hours. The system worked and the exterior appearance looked nice. I called the office a couple of days later to follow-up on the invoice and get copies of the building permit. The scheduler said that the invoice was in the mail, but she would have the HVAC Specialist call me on the permit. He called and said that he still had the permit application on his desk and would get the permit to me in a couple of days. The invoice arrived and specifically said “Installation price for above system (DOES NOT INCLUDE PERMITS). The permit didn’t arrive in a week so I called the office a couple of times and the HVAC Specialist called back and said he was really busy, but would have the permit to me in a day or so, which he did. I was left with scheduling the final inspection myself which went ok. Except for a very minor correction the inspector said they did an excellent job, signed off the permit, and told me to call him when the minor correction was completed, which happened. Everything worked out and after 2-1/2 weeks we are happy with the system. If you are planning on using this contractor make sure you have a written understanding that they will be responsible for permitting and that you will pay for the project when it is complete, after final inspection. We’re at the age now where we hire things out instead of doing them ourselves. We expect the full service package and are willing to pay for the service we receive. In the future, regardless of past business relationships or reviews, before we have a project done, we will have an extensive expectation list and scope of work that we will review with the contractor and make sure that we both understand and agree to it.

The technician arrived on time.  He had the pleated filter retainer part we requested.  He disassembled the blower assembly to clean out construction dust, vacuumed the inside, installed the pleated filter retainer and performed the yearly service.  He moved the condensate pump so it wasn't blocking filter access.  He was pleasant, answered all of our questions, and knew what he was doing. Preventative maintenance is important and I feel choosing the right service provider makes a difference in the long term reliability of the furnace.

Our sister had recommended them and we were very pleased with their work. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend to someone else.

My wife wanted the blower on our furnace cleaned out. All-Ways Air sent their technician Dennis arrived and began his inspection of the unit to begin the work.  At this point Dennis began making alarming claims that our furnace had to be replaced at a cost of approx. $4900 plus tax.  Claiming that ou It was complete nonsense claiming that our "heat exchanger was faulty ... parts were not available for assembly...blower capacity below tolerance...condensate flu housing leaks water-is faulty severe flame roll out"  and on and on.  This is complete nonsense. We get the furnace serviced every year from our local vendor.  We had good experience with Angies List so thought we would reach out even more.  What a mistake! The entire heat exchanger was replaced a few years ago.  It works fine my wife just wanted it cleaned out.  Fortunately we were having additional work done in the home and our electrical and plumbing contractors showed up shortly after Dennis began his rant.  Dennis quickly went silent and left.  However once the electrical and plumbing contractors went into our furnace room to inspect what Dennis had done they found that Dennis had disconnected the unit and left in inoperable!  The reconnected the unit, caulked the seam to the vent pipe that stopped the condensation and all was done.  After Dennis had done his work we were very uncomfortable so we had our local furnance person come into the home and completely go through everything to make sure Dennis had not done more harm to the unit.  Do not ever use All-Ways Air Control.

They will come out to Whidbey Island. They seemed to be very professional.

I spent about $600 on that work and I was pretty happy with that price. The technician did a good job and I was happy with the work that was done and the guy that actually did the work. It took a little while for the office to get back to me as far as scheduling appointments.

Made appointment by phone. Worker showed up on time; did repair and maintenance; cleaned up nicely. I paid him and we wished each other a pleasant day!

They are always prompt and professional. They check the heating unit in the basement and the air unit in the attic and backyard.

I was satisfied overall with the job All Ways did at my home. They were professional and polite at all times with all of my concerns being addressed promptly. I was a not happy with the number of soffits that were required (not necessarily their fault) and I thought the venting of one of the furnaces was very sloppy.

The inspector that came told me to never use them again. They destroyed sections in my home with no regard to what we wanted or needed. They installed the ducts in my kitchen too low. I incurred a lot of extra expenses like painting and drywall after they were done.

All workers involved were professional and polite. They called before they arrived and gave notice of any schedule changes. There were some delays in completing the project, but we always felt they were focused on completion and doing a quality job.

WHEN ALL-WAYS AIR CONTROL CAME AND SERVICED OUR AIR CONDITIONER AND FURNACE, WE WERE PLEASED. THEY DID A QUALITY JOB AND THEY ARRIVED AT OUR HOME ON TIME.
