It was tree roots that broke the line.I had competitive bids and they were quite a bit under. It wasn't his fault but a medal fitting went an cracked but they came right out and fixed it.

Jimmy Baker of Compass Plumbing (Rocket Rooter is a division of Compass Plumbing and Drain) and his helper Pat did an excellent job at my house. They said they would be done in two days, and they were done in two days. They show up on time and work hard. Jimmy Baker is very knowledgeable. He is also personable. I will use Jimmy and; Rocket Rooter again if I need a plumber. The price was very fair.

I am so grateful to Compass Plumbing! I'd just had an inspection and was told I had a large leak under the house. We were leaving on vacation in 3 days for over a week and I really wanted to get this addressed and taken care of. Compass was not only able to come out and bid the work while we were gone, the job was completed by Ron before we got back.
The "large leak" turned out to be not so large. A less reputable and honest contractor could have charged me thousands and I never would have known (I didn't go in the crawl space and the inspector had estimated a repair to be in the thousands). Needless to say when Ron said he could fix it for $400 (there was a $75 fee to come out and bid), I was ecstatic and had to repeat the number back to him at least twice to be sure I heard the bid right!
I have had Compass come out for unrelated issues before and will continue to use them for anything plumbing related in the future. They have always stuck to their bids. If they notice a potential issue, they'll point it out to you. There's no pressure, just passing along information/warnings on things that could be an issue.

I recently bought a house in Tacoma. I had some plumbing issues to fix over the first few months, and hired Rocket Rooter (residential division of Compass Plumbing and Drain Services in Sumner). This is my third experience with Rocket Rooter doing all the work I needed and every experience has been excellent. Gordon has been the plumber who has helped me each time. I am 66 years old and have certainly been around long enough to have hired various plumbers in various towns and states. By far Gordon and Rocket Rooter is my best experience with a plumber. Gordon is knowledgeable, professional, fast, a very hard worker and personable. I know I can trust Gordon's advice when I ask what are my options or the best way to have something done. Paige in the office is professionial, friendly, fast at answering emails or phone calls, and keeps her customers informed on appointments, schedules, etc. I get an email confirmation and reminder of appointments. Gordon calls about 30 minutes before his arrival to let me know he is on his way. He has always been on time. It is easy to arrange appointments and the service is fast. You have probably read lots of reviews by now in your search for a plumber, but I can tell you that hiring Rocket Rooter will be a good decision. Their prices are also very reasonable compared to other plumbing companies.

fMy contacts with Compass Plumbing and Drain was Paige in the office and Gordon, who did the work. First of all, Paige is very organized, friendly and always communicates quickly and completely as needed to set up appointments, etc. Gordon is an excellent plumber, professional, knowledgeable, personable. Gordon was ingenious in how he repaired the shower surround. He cut into the walls at each end of the surround and installed another stud and some other things to make the shower surround solidly installed. He caulked everything thoroughly. I was amazed at how carefully he cut into the drywall with precise and neat straight cuts so i can easily repair the wall. He did minimal cutting when I thought he would have to remove way more drywall. His fix was excellent and ingenious. I thought I might have to replace the whole surround. Gordon also fixed the plumbing under my kitchen sink. It was improperly done by someone else and is now not only correct, but much stronger. The price was very fair. I strongly recommend Compass Plumbing and Drain. By the way, Compass is in the process of creating two divisions with Compass being the commercial division and Rocket Rooter being the residential division. I will certainly call Compass Plumbing in the future for any needs I have, but I then will be calling Rocket Rooter.

After receiving 8 bids, we chose Compass, as they were forthright and honest about the complexity of the job. Their professionalism won my confidence. After they began, the job proved to be more complicated that perceived. The crew remained committed to getting the job done, and at the original estimate price. The crew was professional and a real welcome around my wife and girls (not so with many of the others who had bid on the job.) I was delighted to have the two co-owners periodically checking in on the job progress and my satisfaction. Way to go Compass Plumbing!

I was notified by the tenant that day about a loose and leaky toilet. They confirmed and coordinated directly with the tenant on schedule, keeping me informed. The tech arrived as promised, completed the repairs with parts in their service truck, and called me to explain the details and cost upon completion. The tenant confirmed things were working properly.
I had established a commercial account with Compass after purchasing the property, so unit rates and terms were known. Their bill was reasonable and according to agreed rates.

I have used their services twice now and I have been happy with them both times. The price was fair and the service was great! I like them because they are a local company and they did what they said they were going to do. They did a very nice job and we were pleased with them and the work.

There was one technician who completed the work. He was able to complete the work within a couple days and he cleaned up well. They were very nice and did a good job. I would hire them again

I chose them based on their solution to the work because the laundry sink was a bit tricky. They arrived when they said they would be and did what they said they were going to do. They cleaned up well after the job was complete. The work turned out well.

This was the first time I hired the company and everything turned out terrific! Chuck was the technician who came out to complete the work. He explained what he was doing, why it needed to be done, and answered any questions that I had during the work. I found him to be very helpful and he cleaned up well after the work was complete. They did a great job for us.

Plumber showed up on time, was very professional and replaced the items. Cleaned up after himself. Offered suggestions for additional work. Of note, we used Compass Plumbing about a year ago to clear a root ball that was blocking the sewer line. They responded quickly and took care of the issue. We will continue to use Compass Plumbing.

Once permits were pulled, the work started and ended exactly when they said it would, which in the long run was much quicker than we had anticipated due to extra work that came along. Our house was built over 50 years ago, so of course we had 'issues'. When we started bringing them up with Dillon, he didn't hesitate to make arrangements with other contractors that he knew to get the extra work done. Very professional, especially attentive and saw over all of the processes himself, coming to the house several times a day to check on the job as well as work it. It was fun to look outside and watch such a hard working crew and how they interacted with each other. The job entailed jack-hammering for 8 hours, digging down about 6 feet (the dirt was placed on a tarp), replacing the sewer lines and discarding tons of concrete. All in all a very pleasant experience and we wouldn't hesitate for one minute to hire this company again.

They were able to repair our water line, however, as they were working on the water pipe, he accidentally stepped on another part of the water main and broke it. I was unable to use my water line for anything for a few days. It was awful. They ended up coming out and said they did not cause the problem in the first place.

"We respect and value our clients. For this issue it was agreed that a third party would be needed to determine the cause of the damage. Fortunately, we were able to contact the manufacturer of the device and they agreed to be an unbiased third party. Both the client and Compass agreed, in good faith, that if it was determined that the damage was due to abuse by a Compass plumber that we would immediately fix the issue at no cost. After the manufacturer examined the device it was determined that the damage was not due to abuse. We were very transparent with the client and included him in all correspondence with the manufacturer. In fact, during the resolution of this issue Compass installed a new shutoff valve at no cost to maintain a strained relationship. We regret to to have lost the rapport of this client but we believe that our actions reflect good will and professionalism."

This company was excellent! From the beginning to end they were great. When I called to setup an appointment the lady on the phone was so nice and helpful. The plumber, Ryan, showed up on time and was very nice and accommodating. You could tell he really knew what he was doing and wanted to do things correctly. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
