The pod driver mishandled setting the pod down, tilting it significantly which caused significant shifting of furniture inside. When I asked him about it, he shrugged and said that folks don't usually put things of value in it (uh, what?). The pod was then scheduled to be picked up by specific date which was critical to us as we had other commercial vehicles that needed to be able to park in front of our house. PODS assured us as late as 4:45 on the date of the pickup that it would be picked up. We made it clear to PODS that we had a non-refundable $350 charge from the commercial vehicle company providing the service the next day if it couldn't park due to property obstruction (i.e. the POD). The PODS pickup failed to occur and when we called, PODS told us the soonest that they could do it would be several days later. After 4 different personnel on the line, they effectively told us their PODS unauthorized presence on our property was not their problem and they'd get to it when they could. I would NEVER recommend PODS again nor will I EVER use PODS again. I urge and encourage anyone considering PODS to find an alternative storage option such as UNITS, MOBILE MINI or really ANY provider other than PODS.

Everything went great. I was able to hire my own movers and simply use their pod. The move was smooth.

We had water damaged done to our hardwood floor including two bedrooms and most of the living room. So we need a container to store our furniture while repair work is being done. Their 1800 customer service had a long wait. The container arrived a few hours behind schedule. The local office didn't call about the delay. I did received a $20 credit for changing to a different delivery date. So they didn't have to make a special trip to my area on the date I requested originally. The container itself was what I expected. The price is a little more than I budget for, but I will use them again if needed. I do like the automatic system when I had to call them for an earlier pick up.

they Delivered it on time, picked up on time, and were very courteous. The customer service and ordering it at the beginning was a little frustrating, it took 1 hr on the phone and the invoicing was complicated and not very straightforward. But in the end, it ended up being less expensive than we were quoted!

Pods's website is easy to use. After you use the website, they call to go over everything with you and then look up discounts. They know their stuff.

PODS delivered a container to my house and left it for several weeks, which I needed as I was loading it by myself. It was delivered right on time and it was clean. It was outside my house during rain and it never leaked. They then took it to their Sumner storage center. So far, so good. I only visited it once, but it was a disaster finding it because the address and directions on the website are not accurate. A month later when I went there to empty it, they were still wrong. I used a mover to empty it so I had labor at the other end of the move, and that went fine. The personnel with whom I dealt were all fine; just the website issue. Storage prices seem high, but for short use, worth the haul to me, haul to their site.

They place the pod on the property you specify, and wherever they can get to, and they will pick it up. You can also go online and set up a pickup. They were not able to move things when I wanted to, but that was primarily because of the weather. The guy who picked up the pod for us had to do it in very poor weather, and he did a masterful job. There was snow on the ground, we had to dig our way out, and we had quite a job to get it done.

This is a good system. I was able to pack the pod the way I wanted and everything did arrive safely, nothing was damaged. My only issue was with their billing. They had promised a discount on the price and then wouldn't honor it. They were very difficult to talk with when I tried to contact their service center. The delivery staff was good, but the office staff was very inefficient. I will not use this company again for a move.

We researched several storage facilities and mobile storage units, and decided on PODS. They delivered the storage unit to our driveway within 2 days and we kept it for the entire 8 months of the remodel. When I called to have it picked up, they were there the next day.
