"It is unfortunate that this situation had to be litigated but sometimes you just have to stand up to bad consumers. Green Effects does stand behind their work and even went beyond with this client by repairing a sprinkler head, at no cost, that the client ran over with their lawn mower. The sprinkler head was located in a future shrub area. What was the client doing with the lawn mower in a future shrub area? Probably mowing the 12” tall weeds that they have been neglecting over the 8-month period from the time we finished their project. These would be the same weeds they feel we are responsible for because we used landfill dirt instead of nutrient rich topsoil, that in most cases produces a better weed crop then landfill dirt, never mind the soil was exposed and unmaintained for 8-months. Concerns were addressed, receipts were provided but the client refused to accept any and filed a complaint in small claims court… yup, case was dismissed."
