I took an original painting on velum to this shop for framing. It was agreed the art would be framed in a shadowbox with lighting behind the art to enhance the transparent quality of the velum. The agreed to schedule was two weeks. After seven weeks of schedule slides, no contact initiated by the shop, and several personal visits and phone calls on my part to get status updates - I returned to the shop to collect my art regardless of the frame. The velum was framed but no light was installed and no back was on the frame. I demanded my property and the shop kept me waiting while a back was put on the frame. I was not charged for a light, as none was present. I was furious and only realized when I returned home that my velum had been framed backward. This is quite obvious because the art is signed. My husband attempted to make an appointment to have the error corrected but the shop would not commit to a time. I will go to a different shop and start over.
