At this point I am still dealing with Brent from Concrete Creations and his concrete vendor (Smokey Point Concrete) to try to get my 40'x20' patio fixed, but I'll start from the beginning.
I wasn't originally aware that the prep work would have to be done through a separate subcontractor at an additional cost. It took some time for the subcontractor that they work with to contact us and setup the prep work. After the prep was done, we then had to wait for the weather to allow Concrete Creations to do other jobs that they already had lined up, which I understood. Brent did work with us on adding a third step instead of raising the entire slab and extra 3" and did fix a water line that was hit while setting the forms, which we didn't think would be a problem but had failed to tell him about. All of this was included in the cost.
Due to the stairs, our patio had to be done in two separate pours (separated by a minimum of two days). The pours ended up being separated by 8 days due to weather and weekends. We chose a light tan color and a wood-grain stamp. The second pour was wetter (more water mixed in) than the first and the coloring between the two halves was fairly different, on both the base color and the wood-grain detail color. Brent told us to wait 3 weeks for the concrete and color to cure, which we did. Unfortunately, now over a month later the colors still are different between the two halves. Separately, the two halves of the patio looked great, but together they looked bad. It did not look like one consistent patio. Brent told me several times (after the second pour was done) that he doesn't guarantee color. There is a difference between not getting the exact color that is on the chart versus not getting the two halves of one patio to closely match.
Brent said he would get the person from Smokey Point Concrete (who mixes and supplies the concrete and color) to check it because he is more responsible for the concrete and color mix. That person did come out a week later (without contacting us until he was in our driveway) and said he would talk to Brent about what they can do to fix the issue. He told me I should hear back by the end of that week but it two weeks and an additional call to Concrete Creations to finally hear back. The guy from Smokey Point Concrete did a couple test spots but it was too hot out and the test spots dried too quickly. He said he'd come back out within two days to try again but again, a week later, I had to call Concrete Creations before I heard back from Smokey Point Concrete. He said he had a family emergency but it would have been nice if he could have just called or texted to tell me that instead of just not showing up.
Smokey Point Concrete came out and stained the entire patio and stairs. The color is much darker than we originally ordered. That being said, I don't mind the color and could live with it, except they did a horrible job! There are spots that are almost black from being over-stained, other spots are very light, the entire patio looks blotchy, and there are even boot-prints in a couple places. I have left another message for Concrete Creations as this just looks very bad now. I'm so very frustrated with this whole situation and trying to get it resolved. At this point it seems their only option is to tear the whole thing out and start over from scratch. I don't look forward to jackhammers next to my bedroom window but it needs to be fixed.
I am very displeased with the results at this point and also displeased with the service from Concrete Creations, their subcontractor, and their vendor/supplier (Smokey Point Concrete). I would not recommend them based on my experience. I will update this review again when we have (or haven't) reached resolution.

Response from Concrete Creations Inc.
"Sorry you feel this way [Member Name Removed]. Your patio turned out fantastic the first time other than the color. Which I told you I can't guarantee colors because it's concrete. We tore it all out and replaced it at our expense. I fix the water line that we didn't know was there. Yes weather does slow down the process of getting concrete poured I can't help that part."

We absolutely loved concrete creations and our experience! Brent, the owner, was very involved. Immediately got back to us when we called for a bid. He kept us informed along the way and when we could expect the job to get done (they have to work with the weather and it was a very rainy spring and summer). We were able to visit Brent's home where he has different samples of the stamped concrete slabs so we could pick out what we wanted specifically. When they were able to get to us, they were professional and fast and did an amazing job! The patio looked even better then we could imagine! It's been a year since we had the patio and it still looks great. We power washed it with no problem and it looks new. Stamped concrete is definitely the way to go and it very low maintenance.

The new sports court and steps turned out great. Very pleased with the final look and results. This is the second time that we had Brent and his crew come and do work for us. Lots of concrete for a very reasonable price. The crew was punctual and cleaned up before they left. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing concrete work or steps.
