Joe, drove & preformed diagnostic on transmission & physically examined the transmission and complete under side of vehicle. Spent 30 to 40 minutes and did not charge for time. Very professional & comprehensive.

It went well. He is conscientious and does good work. I was really impressed and happy. I appreciated that he test drove the car and took a look at things thoroughly before deciding what to do to the car, in order to avoid unecessary work and cost.

Over the past year I had a troubling pull and rock on my steering wheel that was unfortunately intermittent. Took it to a couple of different shops and of course the problem was absent then. Then about a year later pulling luckily into the parking lot at work the front end had a clunking separation noise that made the vehicle lope and it felt like the front wheel was waddling back and forth.
I called one of the shops I use because they do Subaru's in the area. I left them a voice mail but they never called back.
So I asked my mates at work and the overwhelming consensus was Valley Transmission since they also fixed axles and that this point I was still unsure of the extent of the repairs needed.
When I called I was relieved that a real person answered immediately and advised me about their free estimate.
I called AAA for a tow at 11:30 am and they arrived by 2:15 pm.
The next day Valley Transmission called about 10:30 am. He discussed the problem axle and the repair cost estimate ot $200 +/-.
I called them a couple of times to see if it was done. By 4:00 pm it was done but not road tested yet. This was a Friday and I needed
the car that weekend. My wife picked me up at work and I arrived at their shop by 5:00 pm/closing time. I sent my wife home about 20 minutes after I arrived. They were extremely busy. II waited until just before 6:00 pm to get my car. It was a long time to wait but I had my car fixed correctly within a 24 hour period.

I had previously gone somewhere that wanted $2500, then I went to this place and they fixed it for $100. It was a good deal. He took me right in when I needed to go in. He explained everything and showed me what they were going to do. They did it and I was out of there within an hour.
