Rentals - Cars
I had to bring my car to Hallmark Suzuki from Montana (no dealers here) for a recall. I asked for a loaner car for the several hours required. "No, but you can rent one for $30/day." I agreed. Service manager telephoned Thrifty. Marcus picked us up and we went to their Northside location. He said Suzuki paid for the rental but I should get insurance. I asked to be sure --"Yea, they pay for the car." Being a Montana Rube, I bought $31 of insurance (after having just saved the $30 rental). However, when I got home I saw, on my invoice from Suzuki, $35 for "sublet 5507." When I called I learned it was for the car. Yea, right, Suzuki "paid for the car" with my money. And which scammer gets the additional $5?
