"Very kind words. Thanks for the business and referrals over the years."
Unfortunately when it comes time to replace our 20 year old cedar shake roof, Spokane Roofing Company will not be one of the companies that I will call. The cost for the repair seems high for what was done. I was quoted a price range over the phone without anyone looking at the roof and since I had not gone up on the roof to actually see the damage I had no idea what would be involved and thought that the price would be adjusted based upon what had to be done. It appears that the damage was not as bad as it could have been and only 7 Ridge pieces had to be replace and the amount of time involved was around an hour. At these prices, $650.00 + tax, I can only imagine what a new roof would cost from Spokane Roofing Company. So because of that we will not be doing business with them in the future.
Update 09/05/14
"A minimum charge repair for any shake roof is $425.00 plus the tax, which is obviously less then you were charged"
I was charged 650.00 + tax which I believe is more not less.
"Also, if we don't know there is a problem, we can't fix it"
Along with check to pay the invoice I sent your office manager a letter that said basically what I have have posted here.
"[member name removed], Thanks for your comments. You are correct that Spokane Roofing does give verbal estimates over the phone for any repair less then $1000. As far as the wood shake ridge repair is concerned it is a semi-simple, yet expensive repair due to the cost of the product. Unfortunately our suppliers do not sell the ridge pieces individually so we are forced to purchase at least 1 bundle of material. A minimum charge repair for any shake roof is $425.00 plus the tax, which is obviously less then you were charged. We will cross reference the work order with the technicians comments and determine if there was a mistake on our end and if so we will correct. Also, if we don't know there is a problem, we can't fix it, so by all means feel free to call Spokane Roofing on any issue anytime. I will check our records, but to my knowledge this is the first we've heard of this and would appreciate the chance to make it right. Please call me direct to discuss. Sincerely, Jeff Sitton - Owner"
My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the new roof and would recommend Spokane Roofing to any of our friends who may be looking at a new roof for their home!
