They arrived promptly with the right equipment to eliminate the water and begin to dry out the carpet. They tested the drywall and determined that it and the insulation were wet. They removed the wet lower two feet of drywall and insulation leaving straight, even edges of dry sheetrock. While the concrete foundation walls behind the sheetrock were wet in places, the walls were not a significant additional source of the flooding. The Servicemaster crew cleaned up as they went and disposed of the removed carpet padding and wall waste.the crew finished drying the carpet with their fans and large dehumidifier. I asked them to leave the walls open because I wanted to modify some of the wiring. They were very reluctant to leave the recovery unfinished and insisted I sign a waiver specifying that I asked them to leave the walls unfinished. Overall, ServiceMaster Fire Water Restoration, by Compass Construction Inc, was fast, efficient, and thorough during a time when a lot of basements were flooded in the city. I was very pleased with the work and with the cost which was not covered by insurance.

I think they are an outstanding company. I was at a loss after water damage occurred in my house from rapidly leaking plumbing. My house was a mess and so was my emotional state. This company came in made things right. They provided quick, good quality service in a friendly and very professional manner. I was very impressed and would use them again without hesitation. I had water damage from a hidden leak. They came in just minutes after I called and agreed to start mitigating the problem. They ran the dehumidifiers over the weekend and were just so helpful.

We had been out of town on vacation and came home to flooding in our basement from a faulty gasket on our soft water tank. My husband immediately stopped the water from spraying everywhere and got out his shop vac to clean up what he could. We called ServiceMaster and they would have come out that night (Friday night) but since the flooding was stopped and much of the water was under control, they said they would come Monday morning to avoid charging weekend rates. We found all of the workmen very helpful, courteous and professional. They immediately set up 11 heavy duty fans and 2 dehumidifiers. Jonathan who was our main contact person said just the fans would adequately dry out the carpets and pad without taking up the carpet. The next day, I decided I was not comfortable with that and requested the carpet be taken up and the pad removed and replaced. Since this was partially being covered by our homeowner's insurance, he told me he was sure the insurance company would agree to that and he proceeded to do as I had requested. ServiceMaster was very cooperative and sensitive to our concerns. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Everyone was very professional. They knew what they were doing. Everything was completed in a timely manner and they were easy to deal with. I am very satisfied with the outcome and they will be the first one I will call if I will need any repair service again.

I actually used their services twice already and they did an excellent job. They were here on time and completed the job accurately and thoroughly. I highly recommend them for their reasonable price and quality performance. I am very much impressed with the outcome and will absolutely continue to use their services.

They arrived on time per phone call. Efficiently measured and estimated job and explained components of work to be done. On day of job, they were prompt and quickly and carefully removed furniture and other items from work area, walled off area with plastic sheeting for dust abatement, and worked as a team to demolish floor and then clean up and replace furniture, etc. Work team and office personnel were always professional and "to business." I won't hesitate to call them again.
