"I sincerely apologize for your experience. We strive to make our customers happy and have policies in place to do so. Unfortunately, even the best laid plans fail and policy was broken to ensure your basket was held in the designated place. When issues arise we always have the head of the department handle the customer so that you are not having to deal with more than one employee and that you are dealing with the one person who will have the greatest knowledge and ability to help you. It most likely took Peggy several minutes to get up front to help you since that day is the busiest day of the year. Peggy had not realized that you were leaving us unhappy with our attempt to rectify our error. She truly believed you were happy with the duplicate basket she had helped you select and the conversation was pleasant and positive. Since you had no receipt we were not able to refund your money so Peggy offered the options, replacement or gift card. If you would like to come back to the store with your receipt and speak to Denise, General Manager or myself, Ginger, the owner, I will be happy to refund you your money and I want you to keep the basket with hopes it will bring you much joy and peace."
