We had an excellent experience with Old School Painting.
Courtney's bid was competitive with two others I received, but it is his professionalism and attention to detail that really sets him apart. He laid out a schedule and plan for the project, and kept me updated on his progress throughout.
The quality of his work was outstanding, and he kept his equipment neatly organized throughout the project. Additionally, he gave me good advice on some of the additional work I was doing on our house, which ended up saving me money and time.
We've had many folks work on our old South Hill home over the years, none have surpassed the exceptional service we received from Courtney and Old School Painting.
*I should point out that the $2000 price was for painting the body (siding) of our house only. In an effort to save money, I painted the trim and took care of the prep work. Don't expect a $2000 bid from any painter for full service painting!

Excellent painter and excellent experience. We hired this company three times to paint some interior rooms of the house (two bedrooms and a bathroom) and later to power wash, scrape, and repaint the exterior trim of our two-story house and our entire single-car garage. The proprietor, Courtney Kelly, is excellent. He's very responsive, personable and stays in close communication. He has excellent recommendations for color as well. We relied heavily on him to choose our exterior trim color. He gave us multiple options to choose from and provided fabulous suggestions. When our interior master bedroom color didn't look right, he immediately contacted us and worked quickly to make recommendations to resolve the issue. I highly reccommend him. He works very quickly and when we had a tight turnaround to get the exterior of our house repainted to meet a refinance deadline, he was truly awesome. He even did most of the work while we were out of town for both the exterior and the interior bathroom. I felt totally comfortable allowing him and his employees access to the house while we weren't home- never had any issues and he stayed in touch with us on a regular basis- sending text photos of progress, status updates, etc. I cannot say enough good things about this company. I haven't hired any other painter, so I can't price comparison him with any other local painters, but I thought he charged very reasonable rates and he has a great expertise. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending this company and we plan to use them again.
