I have been using Oakenshield for about 7 years. I have never experienced any issues with tardiness or unprofessionalism. Price is standard for industry and their attitude is above and beyond expectations. I highly recommend their services.

Excellent! Very professional, explained everything he was going to do before he started. Since there was a lot of snow on the roof he cleaned our woodstove from inside the house. He wore booties to protect our carpet and worked efficiently to get the job done. There was absolutely no mess at all. We were scheduled on 12/27 but because they had a cancellation on the 19th we were able to have a very cozy warm xmas! I would definitely hire them again!

Cleaned my two chimneys so they could be in good, safe working order. Checked the third (from old oil furnace) and confirmed it was sealed up (great job furnace provider!). Also made sure my dampers were not needing repairs. One did not close prior to cleaning. Showed up a few minutes early, which is "on time".  Completed job in just over an hour. The chimney had been damaged from a tree that had fallen on the roof during a wind storm and they were very quick to go inspect and give me the condition report and work proposal. The inspection was done on 1/25/15 and the work was completed on 1/30/15. 
I talked to Tim Swartout and he was very nice, professional & communicative throughout the whole process. I even received before/after pictures when the job was completed.
I am extremely happy with the work ethic and professionalism from Oakenshield Chimney Service and highly recommend them to anyone needing work done on their chimney.

Mark was great!   Very thorough and knowledgeable.   He did a full inspection of both chimneys and fireplaces and provided me with a detailed report, including recommendations and photos.    He was on-time, professional and courteous.   Definitely recommend!

Mark was really great to work with.  Showed up on time, courteous, professional and careful to keep things clean.  The house we were buying just had new carpet installed.  Mark was careful in protecting the carpet around the wood stove and the fireplace, he even removed his shoes whenever he entered the house.  He did a thorough job of cleaning the two flues and inspecting them.  His inspection revealed that one flue had hairline cracks from top to bottom, so was unsafe to use the one fireplace.  I was really grateful to know that.

I'm very pleased and happy with the service Mark provided and the job he did.  Highly recommend!

This company was great. We had an appointment to meet at the house at 1 pm. I arrived about 12:45. He was already working on the inspection when I arrived. Very professional and very knowledgeable on building codes and the proper installation of wood stoves. He cleaned the stove and when he was done wrote a full report that I could give to my insurance agent to verify the stove was safe and up to code. He was profesional and kept the work area clean through the whole process. I would recomend this company to anyone needing chimney cleaning services.

I was so impressed with this company! I highly recommend Mark for any chimney or fireplace needs. You could tell he had a passion for what he does and he is very good at it!  He arrived on time, explained the procedure and what he was going to do and gave recommendations for his findings. No sales pressure, just helpful information and a clean fireplace and chimney! He spent about an hour inside and outside on the roof of the house (note, this was December...cold and icy!) so I felt the fee of $139 was more than reasonable for the service we received. He will be our go-to fireplace guy from now on.
