The people that come out to work and there were one to three individuals with disabilities, are accompanied by a job coach and a jobsite supervisor. So at any one time there were 2 to 7 people. The job coaches are not required to work but they pitched in anyway. The three gentlemen, with disabilities, were highly functioning and very hard working. They followed directions well and did not object to any of the tasks assigned such as weeding collecting the rock, cleaning the rock and putting it back into the prepared beds. The support staff ensured that my instructions were understood and carried out. Nova services charged me an hourly rate of $9 per each disabled person. So depending on how many people were working this worked out to $9 to $27 an hour. Nova did not charge me an addional fee for the support staff. Not only was it inexpensive to get the help but it gave these three men a paying opportunity to add some employment experience to their resume. The job site supervisor was my first contact when the job was setup and she setup a work schedule so I knew what days and hours the three men would be available. I would not hesitate to call on Nova services in the future for any people-power needs.
